After all these years, I now know what the song, Delilah is about. I started subliminally ignoring lyrics to songs when I was just a kid. To me, singing voices are instruments playing notes. Tom Jones voice was great at carrying long beats across the notes. Wailing back and forth on word sounds that rhyme. My mind can toss the meaning of lyrics aside after 1 or 2 bars. For instance, I’ve always known that Bird is the word. I just don’t know why...
