Disclaimer: I have never owned or cared for chickens.
But my town decided it was okay for residents to raise chickens in their back yards, so I joined a backyard chicken group online to find out how much work it would be, and....let me tell you, the chicken feed from Tractor Supply is all anyone’s been talking about. The hens start laying again within a week of their feed being switched. Even though it’s winter.
I can’t help remembering that, in the last 20 years, the Chinese have sent us lead-contaminated toys, poisoned dog food, fentanyl, and Covid.
Just the opposite as Purina sells what they scrap out of the bottom of the feed bins to TSC..
You were not clear in what feed source was switched.
Don’t forget the bad Sheetrock from 20 years ago or so!
My youngest built a coop outside his house in the country. They have had good luck and he enjoys it.
I just hope he doesn’t get interested in Fusion Weapons as he would probably armchair that out himself as well.
Thanks for your report.
Most of the folks around here that have a few chickens go to the local feed and stock store.
Locally grown feed.
I believe there was a vast amount of toxic sheetrock, too.
It happened to us as well. They are already picking back up after we switched feed last week.
