Most of the folks around here that have a few chickens go to the local feed and stock store.

Here in Amherst, NH, we used to go regularly to Tractor Supply. Heck, my son got his retail career start at it, and went on to become a store manager. Nice people and decent prices, but we now only buy black oil sunflower seeds and store-brand bird seed there. For our chickens and ducks, we buy from Blue Seal.
We had four hens and an accidental rooster, but lost my favorite, a Welsomer I named “Trouble”. Unfortunately, a local Red-Tailed Hawk killed her. My wife ordered nine more chicks for delivery later this month. I figure our egg production will coincide with the lowering of egg prices. 😜
