Sure money begets power, but there are hundreds of thousands of people and companies getting rich off of the government paying out huge sums — OUR tax money. Or, more properly, fake, printed fiat money that drives inflation that costs all of us. We either write a direct income tax check or pay more for everything we buy.
Either way, we are royally screwed.

For most of our history, until the middle of the 20th century, most immigrants to America had to say goodbye to everyone and everything that they had ever known, to take a long journey to somewhere they had never been before, just for the opportunity to work for the rest of their lives and make better lives for their children.
It was almost Darwinian. Normal, average people don’t do that. Only exceptionally driven people do. IMHO, the quality of our immigrants is a big reason why we were so successful as a nation. Now with cheap air travel and open borders, anyone and everyone can come on in.
There are 8 billion people in the world. Half of them would come to the U.S. tomorrow if they could. That is not nationalistic bravado, but the simple acknowledgement of the fact that over half of the world lives in conditions that would be considered worse than the worse abject poverty in the U.S., living on a few dollars a day and struggling every day to find food and clean water.
I ask liberals how many of the 8 billion people in the world should we admit into the U.S. tomorrow? None of them say all of them. Instead, they all argue that it is a false argument, because most of the starving population of the world would be happy simply going to another country, not the U.S., ignoring the fact that most of the illegal immigrants currently streaming across our borders cross several other countries to get here.

Just last week an illegal immigrant of a very ethnic persuasion pulled into a Dollar Tree Store in Upper Sandusky Ohio . Got his machete out , went in and hacked to death a precious 22 year old bride just married a week ago prior. She was a very devoted Christian little girl and once you went through her register you would always remember her . Warm smile and kindness . The local news media is burying the story as well as announcing that it was a local upper Sandusky man that murdered her . Nope ! Inner City Columbus near the Somali Muslim enclave . It is a darned shame I wasn’t sitting outside while that Cherokee woman of mine was shopping . The machete would never had made it in the store . I always carry 45 rounds in spare magazines for the old Ruger P90 . 45 rounds of .45 caliber would have probably done the job . If only I could have been there . My little brother Phil lives just around the corner from that store .
