Massive Fire Mysteriously Occurs At Egg Farm In Connecticut

This won’t help the egg shortage.
Several fire crews were called to a massive fire that occurred at an egg farm in Bozrah, Connecticut on Saturday afternoon.
The fire occurred at Hillandale Farms located on Schwartz Road.
At the time of this writing fire crews from Colchester, Salem, Lebanon, and several other towns are all responding to the scene to put out the blaze.

The local radio guy had a chicken lady on the other day. She actually rents chickens to folks that want their own eggs. Sounds like a good way to get started. If it’s not what you bargained for...just return the chickens. If you like it...buy your own herd, or covey, or brood, or flock....whatever they call them.
With the strange stuff that’s going on right now...might not be a bad idea.

Per google, this appears to happen regularly. A barn goes up iin flame with about 100 K hens. Hillandale has about 20 million hens.
