“What's this mean for gas prices? Oil is back at $80”

The rule of thumb is: for every $10 rise in the price of oil, the price of gasoline will rise about 25 cents. I don't know the shorthand for application to diesel prices.

BUT: Prices can jump around temporarily based on localized supply chain difficulties. Also, suppliers buy oil based on expectations of future price/supply interface. When they guess wrong, temporary price fluctuations can happen in both directions. Here's the real problem I'm seeing: OPEC is pretty good at predicting future demand. They think demand is going to rise by 5.3mm barrel a day this year. The world has no way to increase production by that amount due to lack of prior investment. So higher prices are the probably the reality going forward. Something would have to really whack demand down to stop that.

On his first day in office he shut down the Canadian pipe line and stopped work on the second one being built.
Not only a loss of oil also about 50 thousand jobs ended.

Biden has s**t for brains and stuck on the utopia agenda he’s clueless about what works and doesn’t he’s a sucker for what sounds good.

He was called the stupidest man in the senate for a reason.

Where are you getting your information?

The Keystone pipeline was never shut down (until their recent spill) and continues to send almost 600K barrels of tar-sands oil/day to the US.

What Biden stopped was the Keystone-XL expansion which was never operational.

Just setting up the Republican to take the fall. (See KJP and Granholm recent claims of R increasing gas prices).
All in the plan for a One Party System. Although without opposition it will be difficult to sustain the Election Industrial Complex. 🤔

Every news outlet in the nation and most of the world covered it where have you been in a coma.

Those articles were all about cancelling the permits to build Keystone-XL.

No operating pipeline was shut down.

”Here’s what really happened: No one shut down, canceled, or shut off the Keystone Pipeline. It is fully operational, daily delivering 590,000 barrels of tar-sands oil in Canada to U.S. refineries.

What some pipeline advocates think is the “Keystone Pipeline” is a 1,700-mile “shortcut” called Keystone XL, or KXL. It would have sliced through Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma to the Texas Gulf Coast, delivering 830,000 barrels of tar sands oil per day. Many residents of those states fought fiercely against the pipeline cutting through their land.”

Show me one source saying the Keystone Pipeline (not the Keystone XL extension) was shut down.

You can't.
