You have to make a choice. You either micro-manage or you delegate.

Those are your choices.

Micro-managing is a disaster. You can succeed with delegation.

Trump did his job. The fact that we have a government where it is impossible to hold anyone to account, especially those with ill intent, is not a fault of his.

He did his job. He did not “let” anyone “run amok” as you state, any more than a parent might “let” a child murder someone.

You’re both right...and both wrong.

Trump did marshal forces pursuant to a goal, but he failed in his role as leader by permitting the cabal - with an undeniable ulterior motive - to run amok and, more than trample upon, literally shit on the US Constitution.

That stated, if Trump wasn’t merely ‘permitted’ to survive the onslaught unleashed against him - including the most recent shitstorm of usurping elections in the most devastating national conspiracy in US history - he is undeniably one of the last bastion against those who would see the USC replaced with a document conversely related to the citizenry as it has for the last 239 years.

I am emotionally beholden to no leader, nor should anyone else. Trump’s fault at present is to maintain his pro-jab stance and his prior actions - including presiding over a reckless medical cabal spearheaded by those with declared ulterior motives - merit a SIGNIFICANT mea culpa.

On that point I will maintain critique until such a time as he wakes the hell up but cannot easily dismiss the man about whom the enemy has expressed such fear (as recent history - i.e., his entire presidency > current - has demonstrated).

We should all support him, which INCLUDES accolades, critique AND - MOST SIGNIFICANTLY - pressure to DO THE RIGHT THING.

I agree with your post even if I largely agree (but not fully) since I do also believe Trump shares a portion of that responsibility, in the same way the Captain of a naval vessel may also share the responsibility when a ship runs aground, but would add one thing:

WE as citizens delegated and enabled President Trump to use the power of the Chief Executive to act on our behalf. If someone went amok (as I also believe they did 9YearLurker) the responsibility is ours as well.

Well said.

I have not had the jab, nor will I. But the root of the problem isn’t the vaccine itself, it’s the systemic evil that surrounds it — the coercion to take it, the virtue signaling, the mandates, the forcing it on the young who are not vulnerable to COVID but are quite vulnerable to the vax’s side effects, the rush to profit financially that intentionally ignored doing sound immunology science.
