This is one of the best sites for following the ACTUAL (as opposed to the incessant misleading propaganda from both sides) changing tactical situation on the ground in Ukraine.

Can’t see how Russia allows the war to end without liberating Odessa.

Ain't no way Governor Greg Abbott lets the Rooskis take Odessa, Midland, or any other part of the Wolfcamp Shale.

😁

This is one of the best sites for following the ACTUAL (as opposed to the incessant misleading propaganda from both sides) changing tactical situation on the ground in Ukraine.

For in depth analysis of selected topics, Aussie is very good.

Here is his look at artillery ammunition supply. Ammunition shortages in Ukraine - production, supply, & are Russia or the West running dry? His conclusions is that both sides should have, if not as much as they want, lots, for at least another year. People fixate on 155mm, which is Ukraine's best artillery, and how much the US will be able to supply. But most of Ukraine's artillery is not 155mm, and the Czech Republic and Spain alone have greater 155mm production capacity than the US.

Lots of other nations are ramping up production. South Korea has, apparently, a whole lot more 155mm than the US had when the war began, and although not prepared to ship 155mm to Ukraine, the South Koreans are sending the US 155mm, which allow the US to keep drawing down its domestically produced stocks, without reducing the amount of 155mm it holds. Oh, and the US apparently has a couple of million 155mm cluster shells that are not counted as part of our inventory, because Obama began phasing them out. It would cause a great deal of bedwetting among EU types, who have agreed to give up cluster munitions, but we could, in a pinch, ship them to the Ukes.

The Russians have increased production of new shells, and are attempting to really increase refurbishment of Brezhnev era artillery shells, by replacing the fuses and bursting charges. They may be presumed to be attempting to repatriate some of the millions of artillery shells they sold, or gave, to third world hell holes in the 60s-90s, and may be seeking NORK shells.

with Russia’s artillery at about a 5 to one or more advantage, I cant see how Ukraine can gain ground without a huge loss of manpower. Air superiority to take out the artillery would be a game changer, but that would require us to enter the war. To make sure our unelected cheating CONgress can continue their money laundering and inside trading schemes.
