Mark Steyn, who suffered two heart attacks two months ago, posted an audio Q&A online Friday. Saying he was 'substituting for the substitutes' Steyn was in good humor, discussing his heart attacks and answering questions about current events. He quipped that he hadn't been following the news (due to stress) so this would be a view of the news from someone who hasn't been following it. He sounds in good form... audio is at the link.

How many boosters did he get? Somebody needs to ask him on air.
He was always my favorite El Rushbo fill-in. I hoped he would take over the timeslot with his own program.
He had a fall-out with Blaze TV or Levin (?) some years back, and Levin (who is my second favorite) made some cryptic comment (which I think referred to him) about people who you think are nice are not that nice behind the scenes.
He is a rare talent indeed.
One of the few talk show hosts (along with Rush) with an actual sense of humor. I’m sure there are others of which I am unaware or forgotten.
Humor can be a key ingredient in getting people to listen and possibly be persuaded.

I agree. There were three regular substitutes for Rushbo and every time he was away I would cross my fingers and say ‘please, let it be Steyn, let it be Steyn...’
That’s great news.
The man is extremely intelligent, well read and we’ll informed, with and excellent sense humor. His ability to correlate current events with books, movies and general history, along with that English accent and vernacular, makes him an absolute delight.
I think he and Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) must be kindred spirits - I would love to see them interviewed together . . .
Senator Kennedy has a very good sense of humor.
His wit reminds me a lot of Rush smart man hope all goes well.

He is. No matter the subject, he’s interesting. Not many writers like that.
He can be hilarious! BUT, he was a total A$$ when it came to Obama’s FAKE BC.
He excoriated “birthers”. Proudly being one, I was greatly offended by his attack on us.

Does anyone take Mark Levin seriously? To me, he has always been a buffoon. Savage was way better than him, but the ego is big in both of these guys. Levin is in the same class as Hannity. Bongino is a cut above them, but is not a national quality personality. He is fine for local stuff, maybe in a City the size of Seattle.
Their once was many high quality people just below Rush, now they are the few. Yet still nobody approaches the Maja Rushes level.
Walter Williams was also excellent, but the order was definitely Steyn, then WW.
He had to get shots to travel.
