Debt (at all levels) is crushing us, just slowly. Kids are living with parents longer, not forming families. For families that do form, the wife doing monetized work isn’t so much a choice, but a necessity due to living costs. How’s it going to be for their kids?? Yes it’s not a sudden debt default collapse, and it can go for a long time, heck what history calls the fall of the Roman empire took about 300 years.
What changed him?
He wasn’t always nasty.
My congressman, Scott Perry, is one of the 20. He’s definitely conservative; with an ACU rating of 100, putting him tied for the #1 ranking with a number of others in the 20. If those in our congressional district are like me, then Perry receives plenty of communications about not voting for McCarthy. Perry is doing this constituent’s bidding. Thus, indirectly Eye-patch is calling me a terrorist. That was my first thought when I read that.
No problem, they’ll just ring up Merriam-Webster’s and get that little discrepancy taken care of.
They did it for female, vaccine and several others.

All the perverse money in the Swamp has been used, in part, to weaponize and politicize every single aspect of Govt.
The Fed, the SEC, the Banks, the Corps are all Political Weapons first and foremost. I would caution anyone believing they will make moves based on the what’s good for the country. Elections and approval ratings will come first.

He's not even sworn in yet, and I'm already hoping The Woodlands can muster up a decent resident to oppose him in 2024.
He hasn't even begun to represent us, and he's already attacking the kind people whom he now represents.
This was Kevin Brady's old territory before redistricting. We're used to a more conservative representative in Congress.
