I remember people had posted videos of him online trying to incite people, and almost everyone around him was calling him out saying “Don’t listen to this guy. He is a fed or a plant. Don’t go in. Stay peaceful”.

There were a lot of people actively shouting him down.

Why would someone who has been so infamous from the very beginning as inciting an insurrection escape scrutiny for SO LONG???? While there are others who have been charged and locked of for as little as having their cell phones ping near the capitol the same day?

First of all, why was the Unselect Committee concerned w/ Epps at all? The entire line of questioning is clearly designed to deflect and walk around direct statements about what Epps was up to Jan 5-6. .

And this claim is blatantly false:

“Mr Epps informed us that he was not employed by, working with, or acting at the direction of any law enforcement agency on January 5th or 6th or at any other time, and that he has never been an informant for the FBI or any other law enforcement agency,” a select committee spokesperson said.

Per the released interview transcript, Epps was only asked, "did you work in law enforcement? ... for the FBI" (p. 5), about speaking or talking to government agencies ("Did you speak with the CIA... NSA... Metropolitan Police Department"; 77-78), "did you talk to any Federal agencies prior to January 6th?" (p 78) and "on or around January 6th, were you acting on behalf of any government agency when you were in Washington, DC? to which he replied, "The only time I've been involved with the government was when I was a Marine in the United States Marine Corps" (p. 88)

Note the absence of mention of DHS, note the "when you were in Washington", and other restricted questioning, such as "law enforcement", no blanket questions as to whether he was "acting alone" (the word "alone" appears once in the transcript, about Epps' son's travel) or "acting on behalf of anyone else"? He didn't have to work for or act on behalf of the government to have been part of the false flag operation.

As for being an informant, Epps was never asked if he was one -- he was only asked if he knew that others had accused him of being an informant:

Are you aware that people and reporters -- reports, I mean, have claimed that you might have been an informant and were acting as an agitator on January 5th and 6th? Are you tracking those stories? (p. 88 and similar reference p. 89

Again, a limited, deliberately restricted line of questioning and word choice that can only be designed to deceive and hide. There are so many other persons, government elements... Congress... political parties, or other operatives that he could have been "working" for or even "employed" by.

As for his actions on the 5th, both the Committee and Epps went into a full deception. Again, lawyerly and coached questions/answers:

Q So you said you needed -- that you all need to go into the Capitol. What did you mean by that phrase, go into the Capitol?

A The Capitol is the people's House, and the rotunda -- people can go into the rotunda and -- and see what's happening there. My vision was get as many people in there as we can and surround it, be there, let them know that we're not happy with the -- with what -- what has happened, and that was it. No violence. (p. 27)

Go into the rotunda. What a crock. Kinzinger then follows up by stating,

One question I had specifically when you said, Go into the Capitol, and the crowd 10 chanted, No. In the short context, the one that's making the rounds, it looked like they didn't agree. We should not go into the Capitol. I have a different perception seeing it in the full context.

That's our chief inquisitor there, getting deep into the truth of things...

The slithering around these questions is palpable, including and especially this statement now from the Committee that they so desperately want to use to put to bed any further speculation or questions.

We haven’t really had a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people” since we passed national security laws that deemed some information too dangerous for the public to know. If people are conspiring in secret and hiding information from you specifically, it’s a good bet to assume they are conspiring AGAINST YOU.
