Russia fired scores of missiles into Ukraine early on Thursday, targeting Kyiv, the northeastern city of Kharkiv, and other cities in a massive aerial bombardment that sent people rushing to shelters and knocked out power, Ukrainian authorities said.

...

Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the missiles were fired at "critical and energy infrastructure facilities in the eastern, central, western and southern regions."

The attacks followed an overnight assault by 'kamikaze' drones. Russia has mounted numerous waves of air strikes in recent months on Ukrainian critical infrastructure, leaving millions without power and heat in freezing temperatures.

If the missile defenses are so good then why is most of the Ukraine without power, water, and food? Don’t get high on your own propaganda supply.

CIA analysts getting their intelligence from the Ukrainians.
Nothing critical of Ukraine would be leaked to the press

...with remaining missiles hitting a ... gay nightclub

A little known fact is that some Russian missiles use video target acquisition, and can only hit Ukrainians who have their pants down.

I think Russia is trying to find a way to disconnect the Kiev headquarters from all the army in Bakmut. If they can blow the right connection, then a lot of that NATO tech is gone and Russia will probably invade Bakmut (though it’s leveled).

If Putin survives this war the first thing he’ll do is reverse engineer some of this NATO battlefield tech.

--- "Isn't this the same strategy as Nazi Germany's Blitz against London? How did that work out?"

Indeed. How did it work out? It was also the strategy applied to Dresden. I watched a documentary in which war widows from bombed Dresden and bombed Coventry, years later, were interviewed. Their response to the "either side" was no forgiveness or understanding at all. An end came to that war, of course, but the average Joe aches long after, on both sides. Moreover, I recall back in 1987 working with a German who used the word "conquered: in referring to his nation. Even then. Wounds leave scars, and scars can be re-opened so easily.

Aerial bombardment can work well to soften the enemy up to prepare for a ground invasion, but since Russia can’t seem to mount a successful one of those, this isn’t getting them any closer to victory.

“I think Russia is trying to find a way to disconnect the Kiev headquarters from all the army in Bakmut.”

I’m pretty sure Russia knows that satellites exist, since they launched the first one.

The distribution of subpoenas to hundreds of thousands of reservists in Poland forced them to flee to the West. According to the newspaper, over the past few weeks, more than 70,000 Poles have left for the EU countries

This is a problem with the EU open-borders regime. They don't even have border crossings with other EU countries. Now what?

Russia doesn’t want western Ukraine. Poland does, though.

They’re telling the Ukes what their intelligence will be. (That is, making it up for them.)

Tell that to the 8th air force.

They shut down Germany’s ability to produce weapons and all manner of supply.

No. It was in fact the same strategy the US employed in Iraq & Serbia. First strikes were on electric/water supply. Stated reason was this was best way was to ‘pressure’ the gov’s and their civilians by taking out the lights and water. Per the US Sec of State.

Did so quite proudly, too.

The main difference being when the US sent forces into Iraq (a country on an entirely different continent) it took 26 days to capture the capitol and overthrow Saddam. Russia is into its 10th month?!? And stagnated. Which is remarkable given that it shares a long border with Ukraine. Lobbing missiles is what you do when your invading military has failed at doing everything else.
The invasion of Ukraine has been a military disaster in almost every respect for Russia. Really incredible.

Exactly, only one thing is clear for many reasons.

Ukraine 1991-2023 : the sooner the better.

So you concede that destroying electic/water grid was intentional war aim by USA/NATO in Iraq and Serbia? And they did it quickly? 500,000 dead kids was ‘worth it’, right? Just that the Russkies haven’t done so yet? Not a good argument, dude.
