A few votes and you could end up with somebody just horrible. You could end up with a horrible speaker, including possibly a democrat speaker. So they’re playing a very dangerous game.

And what's worse is that he while was promoting McCarthy he talks about how McConnell was so nice and then betrayed him after getting endorsed. It's like Trump learned nothing from what happened.
Why is he so naive about McCarthy? I can't understand why Trump would support a guy who is such an obvious snake.

Just about every Democrat owes President Trump a sincere thanks for the vaccine. President Trump never mandated that people take the vaccine. If you were forced to take the vaccine, blame Biden. If you chose to take the vaccine, own up to your decision.

Trump is not naive and after the last 6 years I’d say he’s the most knowlegable pro out there.

Understand that GOP Trump supporting House Members got the goods on Pelosi, her emails, etc.
But guess what?
They needed to first get McCarthy’s permission to retrieve those.

There’s more. The emails and docs that have so far been retrieved provide President Trump with very valuable evidence to defend himself when DOJ tries to nail him for inciting a riot, seditious conspiracy, etc.
Let’s not blame Trump for doing what’s necessary to preserve the MAGA Movement.
Yes, people lied to him, but now they are exposed. This is the long game.
Democrats will credit Trump for the vaccine when enough people start dying of it, and it can no longer be covered up. Indeed, Democrats will insist that all credit belongs to Trump.
Mitch wasn’t nice while he was President. He lectured them about repealing Obamacare, didn’t defend him during Russiagate, didn’t include border security in the first Omnibus bill, fought for Roy Moore to lose.

McCarthy will be much more of a Conservative ally as Speaker than he was as Minority Leader. He will make a deal with The Five anti-McCarthyites to cede more power to the conservative caucus.
This is not a perfect world, and realistically, there is no one else that will get enough votes. Maaaaybe Jim Jordan.
We can’t afford to screw it up somehow to the benefit of the Democrats.

Trump is, WITHOUT QUESTION, the most powerful Conservative Republican in the world today. You are sadly mistaken, terribly misinformed, and willfully deluded if you actually believe otherwise.

Most of the difficulty is that for about 20 years the GOP has ignored and dismissed the loss of the majority votes in Prez elections. “Doesn’t matter, Electoral College blah blah blah”.
The next thing you know, California begins exporting voters.
To Colorado. To Arizona.
They just deepen the Swamp.
This is a hopeless sitation, but it will change if there is a nuclear war and we lose cities. Then GOP will have the majority of the 10 million left.
I think Trump is playing the long/safe game.
He met with McCarthy quite awhile ago and I’ll bet Trump made a deal with him for support. You have my back I’ll have yours.
Its VERY likely that McCarthy will be speaker.
If Trump backed someone else, Trump would have McConnell AND McCarthy against him when Trump returns to office.
I think this is a strategic position for Trump. He has no choice, might as well get the most you can out of it.
