The biased panel recommended banning Trump from office.
Of course.
The 11 recommendations via Axios:
Pass the Electoral Reform Act.
Pursue criminal and civil accountability for those accused of misconduct in the Jan. 6 report, including lawyers.
Push federal agencies to fight violent activity and review their intelligence sharing.
Ask Congress to create a formal mechanism to bar individuals from future office, using the 14th Amendment.
Ask for congressional joint sessions to be treated as National Special Security Events on par with inauguration and State of the Union.
Push for more severe punishments for attempting to impede transfer of power.
Pass legislation to let the House more formally enforce subpoenas in federal court.
Push for stronger punishments for threats against election workers.
Push for more oversight of Capitol Police, including joint hearings.
Congressional committees “should continue to evaluate policies of media companies that have had the effect of radicalizing their customers, including by provoking people to attack their own country.”
Congressional committees should probe risks to future elections from presidents attempting to invoke the Insurrection Act.
The January 6 Committee is now sharing evidence with Special Counsel Jack Smith in an effort to take down Trump.

Which Constitution? The one we swore an oath to, or the one that is in their heads? Genesis 18:20-21
They have no power
A Bill of attainder is not legal....
They still can’t stop him from running or winning for that matter. They’ve got zero evidence of any crime — just like when they impeached him twice. They’re so deathly afraid of gum it’s reached farce level.
Except of course it’s real. They’ve really destroyed the dream and concept of USA and transformed us into a joke of a banana republic.
DeSantis is their boy.
Desantis is a Trojan Horse political virus.
Right. The 14th does prohibit people who have taken an oath to protect the Constitution, and then engaged in insurrection. 2/3 of the legislature can waive that prohibition.
But are several a huge problems with going that route.
1) Convicting a President of insurrection is like convicting a ship’s captain of mutiny. It’s absurd. Mutiny is committed AGAINST a ship’s captain, not BY a ship’s captain. Same with a President and insurrection. It’s absurd.
2) Even if they did convict him of insurrection, there’s another problem besides the perceived absurdity. The 14th amendment doesn’t limit who can run - only who can hold office. If he ran, and won, any move to disallow right after he won an election would be seen as direct defiance of the will of the people.
The judicial and legislative branches are extremely averse to any course of action which could be construed as contravening an election. This is why there has never been a removal of a President as a result of impeachment. They won’t go there.
It’s much easier for them to simply use the corrupt media and corrupt national security state to engage in mass brainwashing and censorship to throw an election, or when that doesn’t work, simply to steal it.
DeSantis is their boy.
Huh, that must be why DeSantis is cracking down on voter fraud and kicking woke teachers out of the classroom. Because that's what Democrats do. It all makes sense now. /s
I doubt they want to get him ... its Trump they fear...
No bill of attainder either.
Right. The Constitution makes it nearly impossible to remove an elected official by any means other than voting them out next election.
This is why impeachment trials never result in removal - they know they ultimately need the support of the voting public to accomplish their coup. The impeachment trial is a show trial with the purpose of shifting public opinion in anticipation of the next election.
The show trials, leaks to the fake news, and big tech censorship and propaganda - that is the real agenda.
And if that doesn’t work, they steal the election.
So, all the investigations, indictments, and talk of preventing Trump from running - all of it is designed to damage his reputation with voters.
I recommend banning the entire sham committee from television forever
The part that says those in rebellion to the constitution cannot hold office unless congress votes they can serve... oops.
I agree 💯%
.
That's why they included "Pass legislation to let the House more formally enforce subpoenas in federal court".
But I found "Push for more severe punishments for attempting to impede transfer of power" more disturbing, as if suspending the currently imprisoned protesters' civil rights with no prospect of release isn't drastic enough.
