G. Gordon Liddy’s “quaint little alternative newspaper” is still pumping propaganda, after all these years.

<> Owning this paper had brought him much ridicule, not the prestige he sought.<>

WaPo was facing bankruptcy when Bezos bought the rag. The Graham family sought him out.

For a cheap $250 million, he bought a corrupt institution that naturally screwed Republicans and protected criminal Democrats.

That $250 mill bought him safety from any and all anti-trust scrutiny.

I would think Bezos is smart enough to know his mission has been accomplished in the political arena. His investment has paid off. The bureaucracy will endure regardless who is president.

If my dad is any indication, it’s because their subscribers are dying. After he passed away last year, I got to cancel his Washington Post subscription. Even before he passed away he wasn’t reading the paper and most went right into the recycling bin, the rest being used as bird cage liners.

Both the NY Times and Washington Post newspapers are dying with each passing day losing viewers, as are others of the same ilk!!! So is the TV media, such as TV stations CNN, MSNBC,NBC, CBS,ABC. NPR, & etc.!!! The daily viewers of these Media outlets are diminishing with every passing minute!!!

Conservatives are on the march...gaining viewers at every conservative TV station...period!!! The major newspaper carrier in Alabama has been trying to shut down the printed division of their services for years now. They keep raising the price and reducing the content forcing people to quit subscribing. Well they got what they wanted. They announced that February 2023 they will quit printing papers.

There was one reason to buy the Washington Post, besides who of our enemies had died, was to pick up the Anti-American, MARXIST propaganda and Disinformation lines.

If our intelligence agencies leadership knew how to do this, we won’t be in the mess we are now, esp. With a title corrupt mainstream media entrenched from the Left.

I’ve been a professional journalist and media analyst for over 50 years including being among the founding members of Accuracy in Media and worked for CAMERA for many years (Committee for Accurate Middle East Reporting in America), among other similar research organizations.

I was astounded by the degree of anti-America reporting and communist/pro Islamic terrorist bias I found over the decades. It has only gotten worse but our side is finally fighting back with real weapons, not soft words.

Expose and take no prisoners.

Will be interesting to see the data on 500,000 readers who canceled their subscriptions. I assume it’s digital. The Washington Post was able to rebrand itself into a national newspaper. So some readers may be tired of the woke crap. I doubt it’s the DC area readers we are talking about.

Chicago Sunday Tribune used to be conservative and 3-4” thick. Now maybe a half inch and democrat. They fired all their conservative people over the years.

I swear there are more WaPo readers on FR than anywhere else considering the number of posts of WaPo articles. /s

Exactly. The lamestream media is dying but there are a dedicated group of Freepers here who are desperately trying to keep them alive by posting their articles here.

I question the patriotism of any Freeper posting an article from a trash site like the WashPo.

Does Carlos Slim have any say in New York Times editorial policy? I heard that only owners of a certain class of stock have a say in editorial, that only eight people own those shares, and those shares never go for sale.

You should always read what your enemy says/writes. It provides you with one pathway into knowing what their propaganda looks like, who are their targets to cover up or attack, and provide one with hundreds examples of media bias, disinformation, lies and misdirection.

Otherwise you are flying blind in a cloudy mountain range of psychological and political warfare.
