This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

I find it fascinating how quickly Ukraine restores electricity after RuZZian missile strikes. RuZZia has wasted much of their missile stocks hitting non-military targets. This will be viewed as a strategic failure when the war is over.

“Russia has begun to interfere with GPS signals over its territory to prevent the attacks of Ukraine.
Monitoring of GPS data on the territory of the Russian Federation reveals that multiple major Russian cities appear to have faced widespread GPS disruption during the past week, the American magazine WIRED reports.
The signal interference follows Ukraine launching long-range drone attacks deep into Russian territory. It may act as a way to potentially stop drones that rely upon GPS for navigation.
It is reported that the GPS issues were first spotted by the monitoring system GPSJam, which uses data from planes to track problems with the satellite navigation system.
Since the beginning of December, an increase in the number of GPS disturbances has been reported in the Russian cities of Saratov, Volgograd, and Penza. All of the cities are in western Russia and within hundreds of kilometers of the border with Ukraine.
In particular, on December 5, GPSJam logged a limited amount of GPS interference in Russia — the majority of registered interference took place around Moscow.
Since December 11, multiple areas of the coun
try have faced GPS disruption, data gathered by GPSJam shows.
The American publication suggests that GPS interference in Russian cities may be related to recent attacks on objects in the Russian territory, which the aggressor country blamed on Ukraine.
Then the Russians announced that the military airbase in Engels near Saratov, as well as Diaghilev air base near Ryazan, were allegedly attacked by Ukrainian drones. UAVs also allegedly attacked an airfield in the Russian city of Kursk.
GPS jamming can stop drones flying in certain areas.
WIRED notes that Russia has several types of electronic warfare systems that can be used to jam GPS.
The United Kingdom and the United States are seeking alternatives to GPS technology that would not rely on satellite data. Experts are concerned that future wars could be fought using the signal jammers, which will create even more interferences to communication and navigation.”

Analysts warn that the threat of satellite and navigation jamming would only be increasing.
Experts are concerned that future wars could be fought using the signal jammers without a single shot being fired.
Jeremy Quin, the UK’s defense procurement minister, stated that the government would “need to be alert” to the threat of satellite meddling.
Now, this issue has become relevant, as Russia uses the war in Ukraine to test its GPS jamming.
Information on the government’s search for alternatives to the Global Positioning System has been confirmed by the British Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy.
The UK is reviewing alternative navigation systems including OneWeb and the American brand NextNav.
Negotiations with NextNav are already ongoing to deploy a navigation system in London and Manchester that uses only ground station signals.
GPS is the Global Positioning System, a set of electronic devices that provides geolocation and speed of an object on the Earth’s surface or in the atmosphere.
Suspension of GPS can disrupt power systems, mobile phones, banks, and severely complicate the use of high-precision weapons.
Update on Russian military operations in and around Ukraine for December 17, 2022:
- Russian missiles and drones deliver massive damage to Ukrainian electrical infrastructure;
- The extensive damage reported by Russian strikes contradicts Kiev’s claims of intercepting “most” Russian missiles and drones;
- Pentagon plans training program for 500 Ukrainian forces per month falling far short of necessary numbers just to replace lost Ukrainian manpower;
- Ukrainian General Zaluzhny admits a growing logistical crisis and shortcomings regarding Western systems transferred to Ukrainian forces;

Certainly, the larger drones would use GPS aided INS. When jamming is detected the drones automatically revert to INS only navigation. Ring laser INS are accurate within 30 feet per hour.

••Reference information about the hell that Ukraine military is getting. I’m going to focus on the 155mm shells because that’s the main tool of the war, and there was a recent numbers announced that Ukraine is going to get 5,000 155mm shells from Germany and 80,000 from the US ... 85,000. Ukraine, in the most intense time was using about 10-15,000 - right now 5,000 which is not even a months worth of artillery shells. There’s a very clear shortage of what is needed in Ukraine.
Russian Military Effort:
Sometime in May, June time frame I discussed some of the Russian military facilities and the main ones are near Yekaterinburg in the Ural mountains, and there the main tank factory. Russian news mentioned they switched to a 6 day work week to produce more equipment, and on top of that, they are considering switching to 12 hour work day.
Russian Consumer Economy:
Due to the decrease in economic activity, many foreign companies left Russia, now Russian office space has 24% vacancies or 25% of all office buildings are unoccupied in Russia.
Russian Car Dealers:
Russian car dealers announced that they have only 20-30,000 cars left in inventory, foreign cars, not Chinese, not Russian-made because that’s not what consumers want, and that’s roughly one month of inventory.
I would not be surprised if Russia finds a way to import through United Arab Emirates which has a a large market, a grain market where you probably can get something from there, in any case, its going to be more expensive and more difficult for Russia, which will reduce the demand for those cars further, and will make overall the population poorer.
Russian Crude:
Rosneft is the main company with about 60% of Russian crude production; its been selling in Euros for the past months, on average at US$57 per barrel, this is still fine price for Russian oil; the “cash cost” to extract or specifically Rosneft is about US$10-12 dollars - from a cash perspective its still hugely profitable, its definitely not a problem. Russia will continue selling it, even at the lower price is still going to be profitable, for the same time a brand was at a roughly US$84 so that’s about 32% discount typically Rosneft trades more or less in line with Brent.
European Energy Situation:
There is problem brewing there so there is a cold weather the past 3-4 days in Europe or a little bit longer and a lot of natural gas is being drawn from the storage very quickly; the amount of natural gas in storage went down to 85% of the storage capacity before the season - it was in the high 90s: 96-98%, but in a matter of 3-4 days, the storage went down by roughly 10%. That’s not a good sign & probably means the price of gas will remain high in Europe, and this whole energy crunch, energy disaster will continue in Europe, and the inflation is not gonna decrease meaningfully, especially in Europe.
US Energy & the SPR - skipped.
Central Banks & Goldman Sachs, Blue Collar v. White Collar - skipped.

Russian Attack - shortened:
The latest Russian attack against Ukrainian power grid was very significant and inflicted a lot of damage. This new attack against Ukrainian power grid was pretty major: a well planned attack that reached its goals in many instances, inflicted very heavy damage in many places, there were attacks in Kiev. Substation knotted out, Kiev subway out of action ... probably not going to renew its service for the foreseeable future. Cities are in terrible situation; they were uncontrolled, rolling blackouts throughout the country.
One dangerous development: the dam in Zaporizhya was attacked - literally, the the rocket hit the dam. I would say it can withstand a lot of damage, because its built with expectation that it can be attacked, but if this continues, this could be a really huge problem, because there is huge amount of water that will simply go down and the Zaporizhya nuclear power plant could be flooded; it could be really uncontrollable, total disaster with nuclear waste & radiation.
Its very clear that Russian leadership decided to destroy Ukrainian power distribution network and create huge problems inside of the country and pressure - in that way hope to force peace negotiation and surrender of Ukraine, with territorial concessions to Russia - I don’t think its going to happen, it is already super difficult, horrific situation for most people, unfortunately, Ukrainian leadership is completely unhelpful, not doing what it should and can do in this moment, but unfortunately, that’s just the sad reality of what’s going on in Ukraine anyways so the system is one step closer to complete collapse.
Azerbaijan - shortened:
They sent 20-30 transformers to Ukraine that apparently helped to a little bit to rebuild the network, put it in a little bit better shape,; it it helped a little bit stabilize the power grid from imminent collapse.
North Donbas:
It looks like Ukrainian forces lost control to Wagner mercenaries who managed to take control. Solidar is becoming outflanked, not to the point that Ukrainian troops needs to withdraw, but it looks like its going to be lost relatively soon, not to mention this whole area which is in the same boat.
The most logical so the outcome of this is Ukrainian Command will be forced to do it on its own & straighten the front line; which also means the Solidar will be lost - at this point, the front line here is irreparably broken by the Russian side and forced the hand of Ukrainian side.
Moving a little bit south: Russian attacks east of Bakhmut, but there is no true idea of capturing Bakhmut; its just putting pressure on the Ukrainian Command & they don’t bring reinforcements to other threatened front lines.
The overall situation here is the worst for Ukrainian side, and slowly but surely, Ukraine is on the path to lose both Solidar and Bakhmut, its not gonna happen in next week - there were some rumors that Russia was planning to capture Bakhmut by New Year & I would say probably not quite New Year, but I wouldn’t say that’s a totally unrealistic goal.
Central Donbas:
This is looks a little bit more promising than it used to be, where it was complete concrete for the Russian side, but now they have started to develop cracks in Ukrainian defenses; its also a negative trend for Ukrainian sides. Ukrainian troops are on defensive and lost initiative very clearly in North Donbas and Central Donbas - clearly moving into Russian favor.
Zaporizhya:
The front line is quiet here so here simply quiet.
The whole assessment is that Ukrainian Command, Ukrainian troops are one step closer to completely losing initiative, even if they have not already lost it, at this point
But muh Bakhmut… What Wagner doink? LOL!

RuZZian attacks against Ukraine infrastructure is mostly a failure. Services usually get restored in short order.
