Back in 2010, RNC Chair Michael Steele was heavily criticized and eventually lost his position because donors were angry about what they believed was luxurious spending on private jets, floral arrangements, chauffeur services, and member meetings in expensive tropical locales. Donors were used to frugality from the RNC under the George W. Bush administration, when “Karl Rove would bitch if there were flowers on the tables” and staff holiday parties were catered by Chick-fil-A.
Despite Joe Biden’s economy and three straight cycles of election losses, the RNC’s big-spending days are back with a vengeance.
Perhaps because of these losses both RNC donors and committee members are intensely interested in the committee’s finances, particularly the spending. Late last week, RedState was provided a report dated October 7, 2022 that examined RNC’s 2021-22 spending. It calculated more than $500,000 in private jet expenses, $64,000 at clothing retailers, and $321,000 in floral arrangements.

Ronna is part of the problem just like her uncle. She and he need to go.
I absolutely believe that Lindsay Graham did the most damage when he announced that the Right should stand against ALL abortions. Timed to destroy the Red Wave, still channeling McCain. Can someone just muzzle him??
Second destructive act was McConnell pulling money from Bolduc and Masters, right before the election. Those were winnable seats, except for the lack of money and the cheating in NH and AZ.
Third, you are right, McDaniel has done NOTHING for the Conservatives and should have been kicked to the curb a long time ago.
Proud to say, not one dime came from me !
Deep State bribes well.
The o'bummer's are reputed to have spent $1 billion on vacations during their stay in the White Ghetto.
The intent of our founding fathers for our government was that politicians served the people. Today it's a criminal enterprise where gangsters in suits rob America.
Here’s your typical Republican Senator, who thankfully is retiring after 51 years on the take:

Nice try. The more she raises the more she gets to spend on herself?
Don’t forget the RNC when you are writing your final checks of the year! THEY know which politicians will best represent your interests. Just mail it to the office and they will get it as soon as they return from their latest vacation in the Bahamas where hanging out in one of SBF’s extra homes is just the “IN” thing to do for the holiday season!
Suckers!
I’d like to see where it came from in the first place. I would not be at all surprised to learn there are a lot of foreign “donations” in return for favors done.
Most conservatives I know would drop dead before they gave them a penny.
Why most of them are merely (?) padding their bank accounts. Inflation? Meh! They won’t be much effected by things like that while telling us things may be painful for a while but we’ll get through it together. Oh, and get your booster while you’re waiting.
The state chairs control the RNC, they put up with this.
On a smaller scale the state committees behave just as lavishly. They would probably tell you that donors expect this type of “courting”. That’s probably true to a great extent. Egos particularly rich ones have a need to be massaged. Not sure what the solution really is other than close scrutiny\audits by the national & state committees. The problem is the amount of money needed in politics to run for office. The only “real” solution is a much shorter campaign season. Shorter campaign season less money is spent, less money spent means less money is needed. Unfortunately, that favors the incumbent. Another possibility is find candidates that can “self-finance”. That brings in other “problems”.
If anyone thinks that this can be solved by going 3rd, 4th or 7th party because somehow magically they would be immune to temptations & problems of “money”. That person hasn’t really thought it through and is ignoring human nature.
Government financing is not the answer either!
It really all comes down to the large amounts of money needed to function - be competitive. This is mostly governed by the length\time to campaign. Shorten the time, lessen the money effect. Maybe no campaigning allowed until 60 days before the election primary or national. (Actually, I think it should be 30 days, If you can’t get your message out in 30 days, you don’t have a message!). I mean no campaigning; None! No candidate\issue PACS (Banning issue PACS I see free speech problems!), no trips to see the scenery in Iowa & New Hampshire - Nothing! How do you enforce? I have no idea!
No problem.
