Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

“Tu-141 are 1970s technology. If Russian radar and air defenses could not defeat a Tu-141 that flew hundreds of miles from hitting its main airbase for its strategic bombers in a war setting, that doesn’t bode well for its ability to stop a mass cruise missile strike.”

Edwards? No.

More like Barksdale and Ellsworth AFB’s.

My guess is that the shoot down was done by a Buk missile.

The Buk is a mobile SAM system designed to counter cruise missiles, smart bombs, fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles. Here's a pic:

It is my understanding that the UKR S-300s are not forward deployed and would not be able to cover the "contested" airspace, which is where the RU helicopters would be flying. Also, the S-300 has marginal capability against slow moving targets.

Very stealth and can easily avoid Orc radar especially when it not turned on.

Russian radar and air defenses could not defeat a Tu-141

Sure it could - if the radar had been turned on.

Commenters say not HIMARS, but some other weapon - looks wrong in any case.

““There’s a lot of urgency,” Army Secretary Christine Wormuth told reporters. “Congress is sending billions of dollars to the Department of Defense, and we are turning that around and getting that on contract — I would say two to three times faster than we normally do.”

She cited recent deals for tens of thousands of 155mm artillery rounds that the Ukrainians are using up almost as soon as they arrive. By the spring, “we will be able to do 20,000 rounds a month,” she said.

But it will take time to manufacture enough of them, she said, adding that the U.S. will get that rate up to 40,000 rounds a month in the spring of 2025.”

US oil production reached 12,268,000 barrels per day in Sep 2022. That is the highest since March 2020 when covid hit.

https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/hist/LeafHandler.ashx?n=pet&s=mcrfpus2&f=m

All time high was 13M in Nov 2019.

I think we go above 13M in 2023.

Texas is booming with oil, gas (and LNG).

...says that Tu-141 Strizh UAVs were used to attack Engels airbase...there will likely be some serious questions of Russian PVO.

Where were the S-400s?

Did the Tu-141s avoid operational S-400s because they "knew" where they were?

I wonder how many Tu-141s UKR has.

I would guess UKR held them in "reserve" until they would have the most impact i.e. cold weather.

RuZZia under 10M.

“In September 2022, crude oil production in Russia was measured at 9.8 million barrels per day, having stayed on the same level as in the previous month. “

Not really.

I believe PIF is getting into highly classified guesswork. I believe he is correct!

Lulz.

Using recon drones as cruise missiles. Nothing new.

Btw, try again.

Slight damage to the skin of aircraft is not a damage which affects anything in terms of operations....no damage to the airfield(s).

Desperation and drama queen losers.

Russia has been producing approximately 650,000 barrels per day that usually gets shipped via the Black Sea thru the Strait of Gallipoli then to its final destination (China or India).

That's $52,000,000 of lost revenue per day.

If Russia has no way to store the oil, then those wells will have to be capped.

Or they could sell the oil at $60 per barrel.

“Ukraine has liberated around 54% of the maximum amount of extra territory Russia seized since the beginning of its invasion on Feb. 24 this year, according to the U.K.’s Ministry of Defence.”
