I don’t know when we will understand that FR and MAGA while important are not the majority in the US. When you are not the majority you have to compromise. Make war on the GOPe and the Dems will rule forever and the reverse is equally true. Make war on MAGA and the Dems will rule. The Dems have systematically expunged their moderates but Dem voters are Dem voters. They vote for a yellow dog if he’s a Dem. And the Dems pay them off or at least pretend to. There are two guys for the GOP to look to, DeSantis and Zeldin. They went into the heart of enemy territory and changed some minds, not with bombast but with genuone concern

There is only a handful of MAGA house republicans, but the slim R majority can work in MAGA’s favor. MAGA’s best power play is controlling the swing vote - not trying to win the speakership.
If they let KM be speaker, the RINOs will save face and not have theiw feewings huwt - but everything they try to pass, they will need MAGA to put them over the top vs Democrats.
If they oust KM, it will be the opposite; everything MAGA tries to do, the RINOs have veto power - and now they will be out for blood. And since they are shallow, power-happy a-holes, they would rather let the Dems win than see MAGA win.
KM’s warning is basically - let us save face and we’ll work with you - embarrass us and we will work with the Dems.
It’s a numbers game and MAGA just doesn’t have the numbers yet to act cocky.
Stop being realistic. Of course you are the only one, everybody else has this dreamland scenario. the country is center. I’d actually say center left, so in order to win, you have to appease the majority. We haven’t figured that out yet.
