Good read. I'm still trying to understand Jonathan Turley. For he was an unabashed liberal, and seems to be turning more conservative as he ages, and I can't determine if he is seeing the Democrats for who they really are, or what his motivation is exactly. But I certainly welcome his comments as of late.

But he seems to stand up for Trump while doing so in a backdoor fashion so as to not take heat for that support. I think you are partially correct, but I think there is more at play here. Such as, his sensing that this nation is being lost to tyrants, and he has to convey that concern with others.
