I really think this was a ploy by Musk to identify bot accounts for investigation and deletion. He knew this was a sure way to get most or all of them to show up in one tweet thread. Pretty smart, actually. Baited them with something they couldn’t resist.
The people have spoken.
Trump will be reinstated.

I was hoping that was what the poll was... I thought perhaps Musk was testing a new algorithm to trap bots. He did comment on the strange nature of the results a few times... that is, how Trump started at 58% and slowly was whittled down from there.. when you get up over the 12 million range though, no number of bots could move the needle much....

I have not re-activated my personal account but I am signed in with my work account, which I only use for work purposes and not for politics or anything else.
Once I verify that President Trump's account is active again, I will attempt to re-activate my personal account there once again, which I de-activated in the wake of the irresponsible decision by Twitter to ban our President from the platform. Otherwise, I'll create a new personal account.
It still disturbs me that the vote to reinstate was as close as it was (53-47%) but I think there were a lot of bots involved as well. In fact, I would not be surprised if the purpose of Elon creating this poll was to flush these bots out.

Under the old mgt, this would not have happened. it is bringing people back. smart move.
1A only applies to government action. Since Twitter is a private entity it's free to censor whatever speech it wants. I'm not saying that it should, only that it can.
