Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot recently complained about the lack of grocery stores in certain Chicago neighborhoods.
But she was afraid to point out the cause.
I’m not afraid to point it out.
Here are some news articles that were published after the George Floyd riots:
NPR Chicago affiliate WBEZ: “In Chicago’s Poorest Areas, Recovery May Be Long, If It Comes At All”
CBS News: “Chicago’s South Side Left With Few Food Options After Weekend Violence”
CBS News: “Black Girls Break Bread Steps In As Looting Leaves Food Deserts Even Worse Off”
ABC News: “Chicago residents left scrambling for medications and essentials as looted pharmacies, grocery stores remain closed”
It’s really a shame that Lightfoot is such a coward.
Just yesterday, I wrote this other blog post about crime in Chicago. It’s called, “The pro-crime, bleeding heart liberals kept releasing violent serial criminal Pherris Harrington, 26, of Chicago, so he could continue to commit more violent crimes. The bleeding heart liberals got exactly what they were hoping for.”

Every city gets exactly as much crime as it’s willing to tolerate.
And people thought that Fetterman was an isolated case of a brain damaged person winning public office.
They need a good recipe for rat stew.
The voters of chicongo are so stupid, she doesn’t have to cheat to get re-elected.
Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot is welcome to take her own money and open up a supermarket.
Probably true. 🤪😀
Grew up in S.E. Washington D.C. - mostly WORKING black area. Then the projects and drug gangs came in.
Crime and shoplifting exploded. In less than 2 years it went from 3 groceries, 5&10 store, 2 drug stores,, several restaurants, movie theater, etc. etc. — to NOT ONE BUSINESS.
Not much white flight, but 80% black flight out to suburbs.
Lori’s picture scared away all the rats.
I’m sick of the whole thing, sick of the false victimhood, and sick of the catastrophic consequences that come from pandering to some blacks’ delusions by denying the plain truth. In recent months, this has come very close to home for me as our previously safe, quiet neighborhood has experienced almost nightly gunfire. One bullet, fired in a drive-by shooting spree aimed at random homes, barely missed a 7-year-old boy as he sat doing homework at his computer. It went through the back of the chair and lodged in the desk, and would have hit him if he hadn’t leaned forward just before it occurred.
I called 911 to report several late night instances of gunfire in the area, but it’s become so common now that the police barely respond. One officer told me that he understood, and that it was being caused by gangs moving south into our area over the last year or so. They eventually did catch the group of “youths” who committed the recent random house shootings, and you guessed it: all black.
I hate to say it, because most black Americans are decent people just trying to live their lives and there are many great black conservatives out there as well, but as I am seriously considering moving out of my home of the past 44 years, Colorado (which has gone straight down the blue sewer), my first priority has become to find the whitest area possible. That’s not racism, it’s just self-preservation. It’s gotten damned scary around here, and it’s entirely being driven by black crime.
Like I said, I hate even having to talk this way, but we’ve got to acknowledge the TRUTH, regardless of whether it upsets some people. And the undeniable truth is (and has been for a long time) that black America has a huge crime problem. Until they admit that and stop blaming imaginary racism, things will only get worse for the country as a whole, and for predominantly black neighborhoods in particular. The idiotic obsession with “diversity” should be replaced with an honest and open discussion of black crime and how to stop it.
Wasn’t there a report just this week that Target had incurred hundreds of millions of dollars in losses from retail theft? And a regular Aldi shopper asked a clerk why there were no carts in the 25¢ cart rack. (You have to pay a quarter to use a cart at Aldi.) She was told they had all been taken by people who loaded them up with merchandise and walked out without paying, taking the cart with them!
You are smart to have a survival plan, not some lofty dream but an affordable plan that could actually be done. Its not an easy thing to discuss. You think an acquaintance understands, and due to their own indoctrination, they instantly reach the wrong conclusion.
Some do get it, some from both races can see what you mean. Good luck.
I wouldn’t invest a dime in a city that is run like those progressive heck holes.
Black people are the ones paying the price for race grievance hustling where the criminals manage to get empathy because of their skin.
When Rodney Dangerfield used to joke about how rough his neighborhood was those were just jokes.
As some have put it, the world we live in doesn’t have flying cars or colonies on the moon ... but some folks can’t tell you what a woman is. Instead of The Jetsons the future is a Monty Python skit.
If you are of sound mind, would you ever thought about opening food store in Chicago?!
I know the area well. The fault lies in large part with the Advisory Neighborhood Councils, which were supposed to work for the betterment of neighborhoods but instead fostered racial acrimony.
Let them live in the filth they made.
There will come a time when they will began to eat each other. And they will blame the white man.
Have to put even the tomatoes and peas behind antitheft doors.
Heck, Union Station in DC is not even fit to go in anymore. Used to love to go through there when I went to CPAC every year.
