I also plan on buying three more of these turkeys for future use. Gotta get cheap protein while it is available in these inflationary times.

Yep, my wife got a small ‘just in case’ turkey from Publix. It’s ll lbs, and cost $5. Just in case one of the usual large family gatherings doesn’t take place during the Holidays. This is one of the very few food items that we’ve gotten a real deal in a long, long time.

Our local grocery has them for .55 a pound. I bought 2 last year, thawed and stripped them, ground up twice with some bacon strips and spices for the best breakfast sausage ever.

Turkey was priced at $0.28/lb in 1915

My grandparents bought 120 turkeys.

We inherited the remainder last year…

Only 13 more turkeys to eat!
