I don’t think desantis would get crushed.
There are a lot of conservatives, including my wife, that would turn out in the primaries to vote desantis over trump. Some people are sick of his style. There is a visceral reaction to it.
Trump wasn’t on the ballot. Trump can bring an older crowd to a rally but that doesn’t automatically convert to GOTV.

The Rep RINOS in PA lost PA. Corman and his cabal. Remember even Mastriano voted for Act 77 which they cannot undo. Why did they vote for an unconstitutional change and not get one benefit. They have their little power bases and they love it like that. Country be damned.

Why does Florida have the ability to count all votes by midnight on Election Day? Why does BRAZIL count all votes on Election Day, with a huge population?

DeSantis carried Hillsborough County, there are not a lot of globalist minority voters there. I can’t emphasize enough that he won Hillsborough and Palm Beach County.
Trump lost both by wide margins.

However, I don’t think he should run in 2024. He won’t win. I don’t actually think any R will win.
McConnell didn’t fight for all the R candidates, which tells you a lot about the Republican Party. Power over principle. Business as usual.
You're right, but some just don't want to hear it. They say one of two things in response:
1) "Quit being a snowflake", even though "snowflakes" exist, vote, and you're not going to change who they are, or;
2) "MAGA"! We don't need their votes, and the Democrats cheat anyway so it doesn't matter!!!"
There is TDS by leftists/RINO's, and then there is Trump Fatigue, which afflicts a lot of the people whose votes we need to win.

Add, Ronna McDaniels, McConnell’s niece to the list. The top of the GOP are a bunch of swamp creatures. They want to be the controlled opposition. If we ever want to govern again, then they have to go. My number one enemy now is the GOP establishment. We have two years to fix that.
The economy is just at the beginning of getting really ugly. It will be the number one issue in 2024. The focus on 2024 starts now. Republicans need to present a clear alternative to Democratic economic policies and explain the reasons for those alternatives. We know that we cannot depend on RINOs to be a part of that. Identify, isolate and primary them with decent candidates.
Exactly. That move gave the Dems their main talking points. They had nothing until Graham did that. It was definitely calculated. McConnell and McCarthy wanted to make sure they wouldn’t lose their minority leaderships above all else.
The GOP was grossly outspent in most important races.
The GOPe is not a party of the people any more than the democrat party is. They are a party of their own interests.
I don’t know how we get out of this.
You start like any other organization, with a MISSION
What was ours yesterday? We’re not Dems? Pretty much that’s it. Gingrich understood how to nationalize an election in an off year.

Border Control and Immigration Sanity
Rebuild manufacturing here and in North America
Stop wasting money on foreign wars (if Europe won’t pay their fair share, it’s on them, not us)
Culture Issues that affect our Schools and our kids
Note I don’t say anything about Abortion. We got Roe v. Wade overturned. Let it work itself out in the states now, not at the national level.
It’s not about re-fighting the 2020 wrong, whatever it was.
Come up with a competent, easy to understand platform and STICK TO IT.
