But you see I’m a musician also. Specifically an academically trained bass player who has been able to sight read and play since I was 12.
My facts are that Paul was the only talented one.
John’s band ( beatles)
was going nowhere till Paul joined.
Paul was the one that brought them world renown, john just road the coat tails.
John went solo and spluttered,
Cuz he sucked as a songwriter and musician imho.

Interesting take. I prefer George Harrison’s music. I did see Paul McCartney and Wings at the Cow Palace in 1976 or77 - brilliant show. Never forget it.
Oh, brother. They met when John was sixteen. Nobody's band is going anywhere when they're sixteen. John was the de facto leader of the Beatles until about 1966. He is very often mentioned as one of the best (in my opinion, the best) rock vocalists in history. He is often mentioned as one of the best song writers in rock history. I will agree that Paul was a better musician than John, but by pretty much any other measure they were equals until John fried his brain with drugs in the late sixties.
