Musk has owned Twitter for less than a week. I am not and never will be a Twitter user, but I’d suggest that those who use Twitter be realistic about the length of time it takes to make major changes to an established social media platform.

"On Friday, after closing his acquisition of Twitter, Musk said he plans to form a “content moderation council,” without disclosing specifics such as who would be a part of it or what it would do."

Please list the makeup of the "content moderation council" because its not listed anywhere, even by this random Twatter account.

Who the heck is Catturd ™ @catturd2 ?
And why should anyone pay any attention to what he has to say, let alone conservatives?

People put too much faith in people. Carbon tax Elon does things for himself, like most people do.

The AZ SOS candidate, Mark Finchem, was sanctioned by a Commie Snowflake factchecker at Twitter. Elon got word. The account was back up in less than an hour. Finchem mentioned it at the R rally in AZ last night

He fired the top shelf Bolsheviks and dissolved the board of directors. I’d say he’s off to a pretty good start. I’ll reserve my judgement until the dominoes stop falling. Regardless I’m a GETTR user now and I’m not going back.

I don’t think he has formally appointed it yet. Many people are pushing for some conservative appointments such as Harmeet Dhillon. I’d love to see someone like “The Red Headed Libertarian” appointed.

The problem I have with Musk is that he sometimes says or does something good but isn’t sure why it is good and seems to have no deep seated compass that determines that.

It is easy to change his mind with the right pressure. He seems to have a good attitude which is easy when you have the money to toss away on Twatter. You can pay others to put up with the nonsense that goes with it.

My jury is still out on Musk. May be out for quite awhile.

Elon is no conservative and he doesn’t seem to understand politics all that well but this complaint is ridiculous. Elon has owned the site less than a week. This group of people is not his announced content moderation council. The leftists use Twitter and are flipping out about Elon buying it so of course he will talk to them about it. Elon will do what he does about content and reinstatement and then we’ll all see what that is. It hasn’t happened yet.

Newspapers have an information structure, sites like twitter and gettr don’t.

I like the Smart News that came with my old smartphone.

“affinity groups”

Maybe have users self-identify as leftist or rightwinger.

Leftists would see all leftist posts, rightwingers would see all rightwing posts.

Both groups would see all posts that were up at least two minutes and not flagged (and up for at least five minutes and not flagged by at least 5% of their viewers).

Perhaps readers could set a personal uprate percentage. They would only see uprated posts that exceed their percentage. If it was 80%, they would only see the top 20% posts of a thread.

The free speech issue is a facade. Musk has himself stated the true goal of his Twitter purchase, and it has nothing to do with free speech. It has to do with CONTROL.

What Elon Musk has said publicly — and in private texts — about X, his idea for an 'everything app'

If Elon Musk's deal to buy Twitter closes, the billionaire will have taken the first step toward something he calls "X," his vision for a new kind of social media platform that most in the US haven't experienced before.

An "everything app," as Musk puts it.

Just like his endeavors as co-founder of Neuralink.

Wikipedia:

In April 2017, Neuralink announced that it was aiming to make devices to treat serious brain diseases in the short-term, with the eventual goal of human enhancement, sometimes called transhumanism.

Musk is a globalist, getting his marching orders from the likes of Schwab and Harari.

Whatever Twitter becomes, it will involve blockchain, digital currency, eventually leading to Digital ID - all of which are incompatible with freedom. They are the tools of the enemies of freedom.

”If you're in China, you kind of live on WeChat," he said. "It does everything — sort of like Twitter, plus PayPal, plus a whole bunch of things, and all rolled into one, with a great interface.
It truly will be an "everything app." And that should scare the crap out of everybody.
