Here is what Rick Scott’s plan says: “Force Congress to issue a report every year telling the public what they plan to do when Social Security and Medicare go bankrupt.”

Here’s how the Heritage Fiundation describes the Social Security changes proposed by the House GOP Study Committee:

“To save Social Security, the Study Committee’s budget would phase in several commonsense reforms, similar to those proposed by The Heritage Foundation.

“Keeping pace with the advances in life expectancy, the eligibility age would slowly increase. The formula for calculating benefits for future retirees would be modernized and flattened, increasing benefit levels for lower-income workers while lowering payments to those who earned more over their lifetimes, returning Social Security to its original purpose as a safeguard against poverty in old age.”

In other words, they would require people to live longer before they could receive Social Security benefits. That’s a cut in my book, because many will die before being eligible, and those who survive long enough will still have to find other ways to make ends meet until they turn 70.

If GOP doesn’t want to be accused of cutting social security, they should stop proposing cuts in Social Security. Why not cut elsewhere - like foreign aid and the Ukraine war?

“Has ANYBODY heard one single Republican talking about Social Security or Medicare cuts?”

Yes. McConnell, Lindsey, Sen Scott, the House GOP Study Committee

Clarification:
“ No way the Republican party would destroy Social Security.”

Yes. I took it off a Breaking News post on Twitter... perhaps I should have footnoted it. There have been a couple posts here directly regarding that quote since I posted this item.

Have you ever noticed how they always say that SS and Medicare are going bankrupt but never welfare?

Why is that?

He’s just adding to the violent rhetoric that the democrats and media are right now saying caused Paul Pelosi’s splitting headache.

If we can get on to a MAGA Agenda. within 2 years the economy will be booming, unemployemnt will be in the 1% to 2% range. It will be like 2019 all over again.

With so much prosperity we will be able to afford a raise in social security payments. Thats waht MAGA means to everyone but it has been obscured by so much pearl clutching and nail biting.

We need President Trump back in the WHite House and we need control of both the House and Senate. In one week will will have 2 out of 3.

If we allow the Dems to win by cheating on Nov. 8, then we won’t have any social security. We won’t even have a country.

There he goes, lying again about his own son, who DID serve in Iraq and was also an Attorney General for Delaware, but who died stateside shortly afterward from brain cancer.

Joe Biden sucks bong water.

Even the corrupt biased Washington Post call four pinocchios on Biden on this one. I guess his nonstop lying is making them look bad.
