CBS’s Sunday Morning started off with their anchor Jane Pauley fearmongering that if Republicans win in the 2022 midterm elections, “democracy” could end in the United States. Plugging an upcoming segment by correspondent Robert Costa, Pauley fretted that “the very future of our democracy” is on the ballot in 2022.
“This past summer, it was looking like the Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v Wade might offer an opportunity to the party in power, the Democrats. But a more recent issue, inflation, could very well rule the day. And favor Republicans,” Pauley bemoaned.
Kicking off his report, Costa cried “hundreds of candidates for state and national office have denied the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election. And while crime and inflation dominate the headlines, many are sounding the alarm about what else is at stake in 2022.”
Turning to Michael Berkman who currently serves as president of the McCourtney Institute for Democracy, Costa allowed him to fearmonger: “Democracy doesn't usually die through coups or invasion. It usually dies from within.”

Same old talking point about losing "democracy" The Greg Gutfeld show recently did a montage of media and politicians using the same talking point. It was not only funny to watch these talking heads copy each other, it was a little disconcerning. Many on his panel asked "Do they so-called journalists ever look beyond what they're fed from their liberal producers?"
I truly believe these socialists/commmies have become unhinged to reality.

I wasn’t aware we had a Democracy, I thought it was a Republic where the government is Democratically elected.
If we had a real Democracy what stops the majority from passing a law that all registered Democrat party members shall be summarily executed, starting now?

When gang members were intimidating voters at the polling place in Philadelphia (to suppress non-Democrat voters) I don't remember you or any of your fellow travelers lamenting about the end of democracy. What you are really worried about is the end of Democratacy, a coalition of politicians, leftist activists, and 'journalists' who want to be a big part of the 'story' instead of just reporting the news.
Your lamentations are motivated by self-interest. Further, your ill-conceived notion that you are on the side of the tolerant and the progressive and the intelligent is just not true, in the least. You are on the side of totalitarians, and are too delusional to know it. I feel sorry for you.

Most of us on our side feel it has something to do with a free people being able to elect the folks to represent them.
CBS seems to feel it has to do with ‘elites’ and un-elected ‘intelligence’ groups making the calls on who is allowed to run and who is allowed to win. That’s creepy.

Jane Pauley and Robert Costa only now, in the final months of Rat control, are realizing what’s in store for demons like themselves. Their days on this mortal realm, this earth, this soil, are coming to an end. They will soon be fed to the worms.
