Not really a dumb question. They probably have a state of the art system and the police would have requested to review any recordings by now.

The absence of guards might simply be that they felt safe enough without them. On the other hand, the absence of guards eliminates possible witnesses to things the Pelosi's want to keep secret.

At least as I understand the secret Service, you don’t get a say in whether or not they will protect you. Unless the Secret Service is not extended to family members of the Speaker of the House, Paul had one on site.

A third party let the Doug in. There had to have been guards. Security has to be present at all times. I can’t believe anything else.
