That's also my take. I think it will be a revised version of the "Putin elected Trump" claim. Some country - Russia or China - will be said to be working through social media to tip the election to Republicans who - of course - pose a great threat to "democracy," making this a "national security" issue.

A secondary possibility is that it will have something to do with Saudi Arabia's reducing oil production, along with a claim that the Saudis are surreptitiously using social media to oppose Biden's energy policies and gin up support for MAGA Republicans.

Two weeks before an election, the phrase “malign influence schemes” really makes it sound that this will involve allegations that a foreign power is trying to influence the election. Since this is coming from the highly partisan Merrick Garland, it is likely he will say that the foreign power is trying to help Republicans, especially MAGA “extremists” who threaten “democracy.”

We have no heating oil stocks going into winter and less than 25 day supply of diesel. Democrats joyfully put the nation in that peril. Arresting Trump is just as stupid, but consider the fact that they want chaos and bloodshed. If it gets bad enough they can postpone elections.

Because DOJ/FBI still has jurisdiction when it comes to investigating or arresting foreign agents within the US.

Something involving President Trump’s careless handling of TOP SECRET documents and foreign agents taking advantage of the situation.

There were a lot of foreign actors involved in The Steal, including some of our so-called allies.

They won’t be touched.

This is about getting out the vote.

But Deep State may have stepped in it again, because a lot of the people they’re trying to convince to turn out to vote will only be satisfied with Trump’s arrest.

And they’re not going to get that.

Not this time around anyway.
