On Thursday morning Kevin McCarthy told Punchbowl News that he will not impeach corrupt and senile Joe Biden.
The Daily Mail reported:
Kevin McCarthy is not as eager as his GOP colleagues to immediately seek impeachment against Joe Biden‘s Cabinet members if they win back a majority in the November midterms.
Some Republicans are out for blood – seeking revenge by way of Biden and his team after Democrats politicized impeachment and sought it against Donald Trump two times during his four years in office.
The House GOP Leader, however, told Punchbowl News that Americans don’t ‘like impeachment used for political purposes at all,’ and said ‘the country wants to heal’ and see a ‘system that actually works.’
He also said that Republicans need to maintain their integrity by not turning around and engaging in the same politically-motivated actions that they railed against the opposing party for doing the last four years.

Stupid move. I might agree that trying to impeach Biden is a fool’s errand, but I would not announce my intentions one way or the other. McCarthy just created the grounds for a leadership fight which he might well lose.
I would peel this administration like a banana. Impeaching: 1) Merrick Garland. 2) Alejandro Mayorkas and 3) Jennifer Granholme. Biden may appoint “acting” but he doest get confirmation on any replacements. Let him quit.

IF the GOP retakes the House, that statement should disqualify him from becoming Speaker!
I’m torn. On the one hand, he is a crook and needs to face Justice.
On the other, I really really really really hope he runs again because he is toast, even in a crooked election system. The guy is the best free advertising for the GOP in the history of ever. That is saying something.
I don’t know what to do about this.

One would hope that others in the house will have enough balls to pick a new leader in January
Without a 60 Seat Senate Majority willing to vote to convict, pursuing impeachment of Biden amounts to political masturbation. (It feels good but produces nothing)
Without a 2/3 majority (plus extras to counteract squishes like Romney) in the Senate, what good is it going to do to impeach them? Unless the Senate votes to punish them, they will remain in their positions, and nothing is gained. I’d prefer they spend the time getting a proper budget done and defunding the FBI.
So there you have it. I’ve been saying for months that the GOP will do NOTHING.
This is not merely political payback. At least half of Americans want justice and a DOJ that works, not just for those above the law. Do your job Mr. McCarthy. The Biden crime family, for its specific violations and those behind Russiagate need to be held accountable. Stop selective prosecution of opposing views.
