This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available

“Russia lost its place on stage at a key international nuclear summit in Washington next week, as US authorities seek ways to limit the influence of Kremlin-controlled atomic fuel and technology suppliers on the global market.

The International Atomic Energy Agency confirmed Thursday that executives from Rosatom Corp. and Russia’s industry regulator were dropped from the agenda of next week’s meetings in the US capital. White House officials have been considering for months ways to reduce the Kremlin’s influence on global nuclear markets, where state-owned Rosatom continues to be the biggest exporter of nuclear fuel and reactors.”

now that the russians are retreating from west of the dneiper—imho its a freaking shame that the ukes don’t with draw 30k troops from the Kherson front. redeploy them to just north of melitopol and attack south to melitopol.

an orderly retreat of the best troops in the russian army would turn into a route. the ukes would even have a chance to capture russia’s best troops.

now they’ll redeploy to fight another day.

Strategic & General

Ukraine and in General in the World

Energy Situation - long discussion on LNG - Skipped

Politics and Politics of Ukraine Support in the West Long discussion - Parts Skipped:
UK there is definitely a huge economic problems there was hope that Liz Truss had a vision how to economically get out of that hole that UK is in. Unfortunately, there is no vision there because the essence of what the UK needs to do is: one - decrease taxes make everything more competitive and decrease regulations. At the same time so you increase supply of everything but at the same time decrease government expenses because there is a lot of fat and waste in governmental expenses.

Nature tells you need to leverage that’s where the problem is so you need to do that, and in order to leverage, you need to start to be like from a deficit country. you need to have surpluses. But the typical approach by the politicians is to create those surpluses that never materialize, so they go the easy way, ‘let’s increase taxes’; they never go after expenses because that’s where you need to go. That’s hard and they can always go for the easy goal; when you increase taxes, you put in a country in a total tail spin. This is what’s being done to Greece since 2020 starting in December 2009; that’s what’s being done to Greece, Italy, Spain and that’s actually puts those countries in forever misery.

This is what’s going on in the UK & the US. there is not so much well at least economic problems are not as acute, they’re not as visible right now, they will become visible later. One of the biggest reason is that the US is extremely gifted with energy resources: it has plenty of energy and cheap energy, that’s been one of the biggest reasons for the US success as the world power.

Its about cheap energy and abundance of that cheap energy, and that’s why largely the standard of living is much much higher. Some people say, ‘look at Russia, they have abundance of energy cheap energy, but the standard relating is pretty pretty bad’. There is cultural component to it, there is no question to it, but if you look at Europe there is a cultural component, but there is no energy.

Discussion on US policy, GOP and Ukraine.
In U.S beginning of November there are mid-term elections which means that the part of the parliament, both chambers of the parliament, just for everyone in US has an upper chamber and lower chamber similar to Russia which is similar to the US; they mimicked what what U.S has. The portion of that of each chamber is going to be re-elected, and what is expected is the Republican party will take control of at least one chamber, and potentially two chambers because of the high inflation in the US which creates this dissatisfaction of the voters, and they want change.

Most likely Republican party will be in charge of the parliament in the US, and what that really means is a part of the Republican party is strongly opposing helping Ukraine. The logic there is very similar to Elon Musk logic, who actually switched to Republican party and probably part of this group, that this policy, the Biden’s policies, its a policy of the US interest in the world - how to keep the position, the status quo of the US in the world - that’s really what the policy is.

But unfortunately, this group in the Republican party does not really understand that, they are very myopic; the idea is, ‘we don’t want to spend anything’, as if this is going to solve economic problems of the US, which is the amount of help is peanuts, relative to the economic problems, and the source of the economic problems is said to be the help to Ukraine.

Nevertheless, this small group is stronger they were vocal and the potentially future leader of Republicans in the lower chamber is Kevin McCarthy spoke today, and he said that most likely they will stop helping Ukraine. He’s not representing majority of the Republican party, but its a very strong and vocal and very well organized minority. and in many cases. strong very well organized minority wins.

That’s that’s a big risk there or at least they can create enough problems that this help is not going to be effective or or delayed and so on. He has been criticized by other members of the Republican party at the same time, but as I said the the strengths of this group is that they are very well organized, they have very clear vision, they are driven, and they want to fight.

This new group this whole new Parliament is going to come into power sometime in December or January I don’t remember exact, but there is still window opportunity for Ukraine to receive more military help in December. Starting then next year, it will be a big question, and especially if the economic economic situation in the US deteriorates because of the high interest rates.

(Editorial: I thinks he’s saying the current US policy of aiding Ukraine - regardless of which party made the policy or who is President - is aimed any keeping the US leading the Free World, while the McCarthy GOP wants to end it, because it costs too much money, and ending it will help solve US economic problems, Ukraine is none of our business - like any other conflict overseas because the US is no longer the Land of the Free, but the Isolated Home of King Money - myopic is a vast understatement here. Where this notion came from - who knows, maybe some well-known podcasters. This McCarthy wing seem to want to end exports and return to the US of the 1930s or earlier, while keeping everything the same. Lunacy.)

The Federal Reserve is hiking interest rates in the US - a very extremely aggressively, probably the most aggressive way since Paul Volker which was in early 80s. His hikes helped to kill inflation in the US, but they created two consecutive pretty strong recessions in the US. There was quite a bit of pain to kill that inflation and current head of the FED tries to mimic or at least pretends he’s Volker.

But for now he’s forced to continue hiking and because there are a lot of problems with the supply in the world, and they mentioned for example, even China there is a strong tension there, this really means that this inflation problems probably will persist in some shape or form. That really means that there is going to be more pain from hiking, because because its addressed from the wrong end of the problem: the way it needs to be addressed is increasing supply, and stop fighting the conventional energy producers - which has been going on in the US for some time. That fighting reduces the supply of cheap and abundant energy.

The problem from Ukrainian perspective is that Ukrainian leadership managed too strongly ally itself is Democratic Party while alienating the Republican party, to a great extent. That was policy mistake by Ukrainian leadership. The UK and U.S are two biggest clouds on the horizon for Ukrainian support.

Russia as mentioned before is also facing huge, huge, huge problems on its own. Russia is facing huge problems, so Putin declared state of emergency or martial law. It was presented in the West as, ‘this was just martial law in the four captured Ukrainian regions’. Putin declared martial law in those four regions is not true; its a part of much bigger action or set of actions. Its more like a continuation of that path of society mobilization of the society for the war. They mentioned about five months ago mobilizing the Russian economy for the war, and this is the next step in mobilizing society for the war. It doesn’t quite mobilize the entire society.

There are zones:
Green: is where things stay the same (most of Russia): no changes.

Yellow: Moscow zone means there will be checkpoints on the roads on major entrance into the city, exit from the city, the police or militarized police will be checking semi-trailer trucks, cars, everything for potential diversions for the weapons, for the explosive; it will be quite a bit of annoyance, it will create traffic jams and it does create impression of going back to feudal ages; its not pleasant experience.

Orange:
The heads of those regions are given extraordinary power: they can move people, they can evacuate people from the region to threatened regions, they can do pretty much anything, they have quite a bit of latitude in terms of the action, they can do pretty much whatever they need in terms of civilian actions, but they cannot do much in terms of military action.

Red:
Becoming very more military tyranny. The military runs those regions, and they can conscript anyone they want, even though this is Ukrainian territories, and at least in the case of Kherson & Zaporizhya - those are those people didn’t even live under Russia for for any significant amount of time, unlike parts of this Donetsk and lands region where they lived for at least since 2014.

Zaporizhya are totally Ukrainian citizens so its very fresh in the minds of people, and they can be now put into Russian army. If they find you on the street, you are of right age, they need infantry, you can you can be pressed into the service. This is what this means in terms of martial law, this ability to do whatever you want, whatever is needed, and when it means whatever is needed is all worse things are needed as always so this is the big picture of what’s going on in Russia, where its another another step in the society towards total mobilization for the war, but now its more on the societal level as opposed to economy level.

North Luhansk’:
Things here are the same, more or less positional situation.

Kherson Bridgehead:
Ukrainian troops launched two attacks: they were headed towards the dam, offensive was middle size or a really large probing attack; they were not successful.

Russian command brought in 83rd Airborne Brigade. The number of the units is extremely high right now and that’s makes it much more difficult. They are not full strength - many of them at most 50% percent, some like 90th Tank Division and others are probably 20%, but there’s still a lot of resources left. It tells us that Ukrainian attacks against those Russian ferries are not quite effective, the throughput is much much smaller, its a fraction of what it used to be, but its still enough to hold the perimeter of this bridgehead.

Russian sign is experiencing shortage of ammunition, but its not like acute shortage - its tight so again that’s not what Ukrainian side needs in order to be successful here and giving that there’s so much more troops here right now these days there is also bright spot for Ukrainian side is that now finally

Ukrainian command started using HIMARS for anti-counter battery fire or Canterbury fight so they are attacking those Russian long-range howitzers with with HIMARS to extent, probably not the best way to do it because Ukraine got now so many long-range howitzers they are that’s what they where they supposed to be used that’s their intent and goal, but better this way than the nothing, at least there is some movement.

They would be immediately attacked by 4 of Russia’s best NB units from next door in the Zaporizhya region.

“US is no longer the Land of the Free, but the Isolated Home of King Money”

I’m still betting Rs support Ukraine. There will be a small minority of Rs who are crazies, but the center will hold. Hoping, wishing, I’m correct..

Coming of age in the Reagan era, I could never have imagined the Ds being tougher of the USSR (OK, RuZZia) than the Rs. I’m still not ready to accept that proposition.

I really think the isolationist keep-our-money-at home crowd comes out of listening to too many Bannon etc podcasts. I know a guy that has become more and more extreme who listens to such things and reads a lot of Russian propaganda posted on social sites. Even to the extent on total isolation from the rest of the world - ‘its none of our business’ is the key phase he repeats; pointing out that money going to Ukraine is chump change compared to the vast spending of the Dems, just sails over his head and into conflation land.
