At the end of it we see that there are some real men in Iran. She keeps the animals at bay until some men show up and apparently make it plain that continuing the attack on the woman is not a good idea.
I’m about 3/4 the way through Whirlwind by Clavel, the novel on the Iranian revolution.
To be sure there were many brave, intelligent Iranian men. But most seemed to be religious, religious zealot, brut, semi-savage illiterates.
(and that’s who won and put Khomeini in power, the uneducated, poor zealot masses)

I know all that. But there are a few- the ones who came to the aid of the woman under assault but Khamenei’s thugs. That would not have happened in an Arab countyy.
