The arrival of Hurricane Ian in late September forced the committee to reschedule its final hearing.
The House select committee investigating the events surrounding the riots at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, will reportedly focus on former President Donald Trump's "state of mind" during the incident as part of its final hearing prior to the midterm elections.
"We're going to bring a particular focus on the former president's state of mind and his involvement in these events as they unfolded," a committee aide said, per The Hill. "So what you're going to see is a synthesis of some evidence we've already presented with that new, never-before-seen information to illustrate Donald Trump's centrality from the time prior to the election."
The arrival of Hurricane Ian in late September forced the committee to reschedule its final hearing. It will instead take place on Thursday. The final hearing will allow all nine members of the panel to participate in the presentation of material and there are no expected live testimonies, according to the outlet.
Over the past few months, the committee has held a number of high-profile public hearings during which it heard testimony and presented evidence of Trump's involvement with the events that culminated in a large number of people entering the U.S. Capitol without authorization as Congress was certifying the presidential election results.
Republicans have largely condemned the hearings as a partisan affair, pointing to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's rejection of GOP nominees to serve on the committee and her appointment of two, pro-impeachment GOP representatives: Rep. Liz Cheney, Wyo., and Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill.

We know with absolute certainty there is not a single democrat who has even an inkling about President Trump’s state of mind.
Trump’s state of mind was probably “no way did that loser Biden have that many real votes, and why are the chuckleheads in Congress rubber-stamping this fraud?” That is certainly the state of mind of most people who respect the constitution rather than raw political ambition.
Whatever the narrative right now, in the future, the events of Jan 6, 2021 will probably be understood to be a failed attempt to bring justice, and that failure simply created a greater appetite for wrongdoing and extortion. In fact, depending on how the Ukraine mess turns out, it could have even larger implications.
State of mind???? What has he been charged with? These people need to go to prison!!’n
Well, they’ll be able to get 50,000 psychiatrists to
testify he’s got problems, having never met the man.
Biden, why he’s the epitome of the insightful, learned,
moderate president we’ve all been hoping for! /s
Miss cleo knows all
They are such deceptively evil.
1. The agency was worried about armed supporters (that has zero to do with Trump.
2. Why is the committee sharing emails with the WaPo?
3. They are Using video from a documentary that followed Roger Stone around.
4. They said they warned the WH that things were deteriorating fast. Why the hell didn’t they care when Trump repeatedly warned them this could happen and to provide more Law Enforcement?
5. The portrayal of ‘Trump wanting to go to the Capitol’ is ridiculous . It was completely natural to want to see what was going on.
These people are insanely obsessed. They have been hyper focused for so long, they believe they see something when it’s just not there. Well, they want to make the public believe it to justify getting him out of politics. There needs to be accountability for the outrageous harassment directed to Trump and associations. The November election can’t come soon enough.
String these Rats up!!
They have nothing if so it would all be over by now all they have now is tossing bombs in the water and hope something floats.
