READ: Yearbooks prove Democrat Katie Hobbs had to know about the ‘Slave Day’ annual tradition at the school she attended in the 1980s. The 1987 yearbook (page 21) lists her as one of the Student Council officers who coordinated the ‘Slave Day’ events as part of ‘Spirit Week.’[...]
– 1984 Yearbook:
Page 4: “Among Spirit Week activities in ’83 were those spotlighting the Class of ’84 and the Class of ’87. Each freshman was required to wear a demeaning sign and to serve as a slave to a senior for a day. The tables were turned on Senior Slave Day, when seniors were auctioned off and made to act as slaves to underclassmen willing to pay for the privilege of being masters for a day.”

- 1987 Yearbook:
“Student Council has had many activities throughout the year. They kicked the year off with a dance in September. Following that, in October, they coordinated the many class events during Spirit Week.

YUUUGE
My freshman class in 1987, was the last class that went thru the HS Slave Day, it was cancelled after us. We were made to do the tasks that our senior masters told us to do, and we’re forced to perform silly skits and stuff. It was horrible. Terrible. Horrible. I’m scarred for life because of it…
Looks like she is going to be HOBBled. Go Kari!!! Show ‘em how it’s done.
Fighting fire with fire is one thing. Pointing out hypocrisy is one thing. Stooping to the level of bull crap in high school yearbooks smacks of desperation. It’s juvenile. Leftists are juvenile.
The left has made things like this a story. The left has brought this insanity onto all of us…While this silly game can be exhausting our hope is that if we push the Democrats to be held to their own standards for GOP candidates, the game may change.
It’s still juvenile. If I were a simple fence-sitter and somebody came out with this it would swing me to the opponent.
I really don’t care what she did as a freshman in high school in the eighties nor do I think it was such a big deal. But the Democrats would blow this up if it was a Republican candidate.
She would too if the tables were reversed. So, I have no issue with her getting hammered for it night and day.
I did this in college my first weekend in the early 70’s. It did not go on much beyond that. We did stuff like take the cafeteria trays out and put them in the garbage line after dinner. Nothing big in the hazing department.
