This morning I was in the process of uploading a video I created about making the GREATEST Margarita in the world. However, I noticed there was no monetization button. When I checked further I noticed my entire channel had been demonetized (again).
On top of that there was NO explanation from YouTube for the demonetization either on the dashboard or via email which always happened when they demonetized before. I checked on Twitter and it turns out that many other video creators had the same experience. For what I can piece together is that YouTube only meant to demonetize all videos covering the Ukraine war (and why they would want to do that can be racked up to CENSORSHIP) but they accidentally also demonetized what I first thought was thousands but which on more examination appears to be MILLIONS of channels.
YouTube screwed up bigtime. Censorship is never a good look but this time the angry reaction appears to be on a MASSIVE scale due to the YUUUUUUGE number of channels accidentally demonetized.
Great! Maybe these people will finally stop using communistTube and move to another platform.
You misspelled demonization.
I also use Rumble but the revenue from it is not so great (so far). Hopefully that will change in the near future.
And thus the symptoms of the disease become more and more evident. When will Americans decide to excise this malignant cancer with prejudice? *shrug* Maybe they like being sheep with no free speech or free will.
Git to Rumble...
There is no maybe about it
I thought you said “demonized” .
Rumble is taking off. It’s going to be the main competition for Youtube, at least in the political realm.
However I would not be surprised if the government somehow pulls it off the internet.
Can you hear the “Rumble” of a better more popular platform calling all those who are tired of the blatant censorship.
It’s time Youtube loses all protections of being able to block free speech. Same with all the social media platforms.
I hope Rumble learned from Parlor and stayed off of AWS.
I don't monetize my video content.
I'm using Postimages for pictures and memes.
Welcome to the club. I honestly think I was one of the first Youtubers to be demonitized. My channel was rocking. However, I believe my opinions on climate change killed my channel. Since then, I consider my channel and website the canary in the coalmine. #coughing
Climate misinformation donchano!!!
rumble has their own servers and cloud
if fact they are going to offer it to he public next year to compete with AWS
As Tucker and others have pointed out, the corrupt US government has, literally, outsourced censorship to Google, YouTube/Meta, and Twitter. As many know, there are now emails showing government agencies directing, or “strongly urging” these Dem-oriented companies to censor content they do not like.
The corruption of the US government is as bad, or worse, than any third-world country.
This time it seems video channels covering the Ukraine war were targeted but OOOOOOPS they accidentally demonetized MILLIONS of other channels.
Youtube, Amazon, Google, twitter are all slaves to the left.
They all do the bidding of the left. They will happily lose revenue just so they can promote leftist causes. This is not a normal business model. So, who makes up for the lost revenue? This is obviously being done on purpose, so I ask “Who is funding these media?” Or is the entire staff along with all the stockholders OK with that loss of revenue?
Do they do it purely out of devotion to a cause?
Does the government give them special favors in return for letting them violate the Constitution?
Is there a Sugar Daddy who slips them a few billion every so often to reward them for their party loyalty?
Excellent, maybe l’ll get some stock
