Why Zelensky’s World War III gambit will fail
The Dossier ^ | 10/07/2022 | Jordan Schachtel

None of the major parties involved in this conflict want nuclear armageddon via WWIII.

A continually unhinged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has spent the past year trying to draw NATO powers into direct conflict with Russia, and he has yet to achieve success, despite many attempts to do so. While the rhetoric between D.C., Brussels, and Moscow has certainly become more fiery, the kinetic pieces on the geopolitical chessboard have remained steadily in place, because the major parties to the conflict do not want to witness World War III breaking out.

On Thursday, Zelensky ramped up the rhetoric even further, calling on NATO forces to bomb Russia and try to eliminate their nuclear arsenal.

How exactly has Putin threatened nuclear war? How does his position differ from our position on their use?

Exactly. We have never adopted the position of no first use because it ties our hand’s strategically. Back in the days of the Cold War when we had over 500,000 troops in Europe, we let it be known that were we to be overrun by the Soviets streaming thru the Fulda Gap, we would use nuclear weapons to stop them.

Putin has said something similar should Russia’s territory be threatened, I.e., he would use all means available to defend their territory.

#21. Look up Russia Media Monitor or find translations of what goes on on Russian state TV for the past few months. There have been indirect hints at nuclear weapons for months.

The Russian referendums in Crimea and Ukraine are not and will not be recognized under international law. If the US held a election in Canada for Canadians, Canada would not recognize it nor would anyone else. Past Russian control was voided when Ukraine became a fully sovereign nation. These are basic international principles.

As far has "defending Russian territory" goes, this is the first time a nation has invaded another country, claimed its territory while fighting is going on, then implied nuclear weapons were a option. That is flat out nuclear blackmail.

If you’d learn the history of nuke threats regarding the conflict, first came out from Ze in Munich before it started. Then was the comment from the French foreign minister.
