Happened to my dad in 1994. He wrote some scathing letters over tobacco legislation to the Whitehouse. For about six months his mail was held for an FBI review about once a week or two, then dumped on his porch in a bag all opened. It eventually stopped.

They even take pictures of the envelopes - which you can sign up to have them emailed to you or just log in and look at them.

They are just following the Obama General Orders started for “Joe the Plumber.” There needs to be know orders from the command and the functionaries are perfectly happy to do what they can to destroy their political enemies. All this ridiculous statement from the Post Office says is that “YES, We will still spy on Americans but we just need to get approval and cover from the DOJ to make it all nice and legal..”

The USPS is incompetent in meeting it’s mission. They have to turn to Stazi tactics to ensure their existence. Shut the whole thing down, less than two post offices until the US Constitution is amended to eliminate a requirement for a post office. Then close the final two offices.
