I had to learn a lot of “lingo” every year, pre-retirement. Most of that wasnt in the dictionary. Professional obligations you know. The world changes.

Also, when you enter a new land you are obliged to learn at least some of the language and culture. “Zot” is a local term dating back at least 20 years.

I am FR’s resident word nerd and linguistic purist. I have been here over 20 years and will be 80 a few months.

I wouldn’t know teenage *lingo* without a search engine and I even use the Oxford comma.
