Furthermore the ridiculous practice of calling someone a troll, or some other derogatory name is just plain pathetic. You want to disagree with my comments that’s fine...at least respond with a coherent counter argument and not just name calling and subtle threats.
When I was originally told about this site I had hoped to find a group that would have ideas on how to fix the problems this country has. But so far I have only been attacked, called names, and threatened with expulsion.
Just because someone hasn’t been here 20 years doesn’t mean their opinions are any less valuable. But if the “good old boy” club here is that incestuous then Yes this site has been a disappointment.

If your hide ain’t thick enough it’s your question to answer. 20 years is a good long time to run with any bunch. Especially one as tight as the folks here. To say some of us are highly protective would not be an understatement.

Hang in there. There are still rational FReepers with reasoned arguments here. The problem is there's a vocal minority of conspiracy theorists who are impervious to evidence and are looking for childish explanations (evil supervillain plotting to kill us all!) for complex issues.
Some of these conspiracy threads have amusement value but don't bother trying to reason people out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.
