A report published Wednesday provided a major update regarding Special Counsel John Durham’s ongoing investigation.
Appointed towards the end of the Trump administration to look into the origins of the FBI’s so-called “Russiagate” probe into the former president’s 2016 campaign, Durham’s inquiry appears to be wrapping up.
“When John Durham was assigned by the Justice Department in 2019 to examine the origins of the investigation into the 2016 Trump campaign’s ties to Russia, President Donald Trump, and his supporters expressed a belief that the inquiry would prove that a ‘deep state’ conspiracy including top Obama-era officials had worked to sabotage him,” The New York Times reported.

Another GOP investigation that turned out to be nothing more that a bunch of wimpy blowhards spouting hot air. Like Billy Barr, Durham is a loser.

Remember how the Left put all their faith in Robert Mueller "getting Trump" only to have their hopes unceremoniously dashed in the end?
It seems that the real purpose of these special counsels is only to protect politicians by pretending to look "long and hard" at something, only to have it simmer on the back burner for a few years, indict a few minor players, and then finally issue some 400 page lukewarm report that nobody ever reads anyhow.
And the criminals get away again. How convenient.

So nothing comes out of this. As a result people get the impression that Russia-gate was legitimate. The FBI goes forward with impunity and continues to shakedown citizens that just happen to vote for Trump. Great

The FBI planting evidence, paying informants who lie, and falsifying affidavits to a FISA court to destroy a U.S. president, because he is deemed their political enemy, is now accepted practice. Great job, Durham.
In sports sometimes teams get criticized for “sitting on the lead”!
Mueller wrapped up because not only had Trump did nothing wrong, if anything the wrongdoing Mueller was charged with investigating was perpetrated by the people who hired him.
The same cannot be said about whatever the Clintons, Bidens, etc were engaged in. Durham’s job was to run out the clock.
Durham is a t ball player going up against the FBI, DC Judges and DC juries. this could not have gone any other way.

Was there any doubt how this would turn out? All these deep state people may be playing on different teams, but they are all playing in the same league. This is akin to having Organized Crime investigating itself. The only viable way to have done it was to have a retired, hard ass federal judge in charge of everything. He would have selected his own people from outside to do a real investigation, and would have insisted on a grand jury well away from Washington. Every Institution, every Department and their agencies are all about Washington and protecting the status quo. If Americans don’t wake up to that fact and elect fighters who will start dismantling what has become a giant malignancy, our future is a dark one.
