I have long called them NeoPuritans. Its what they are. Think of those people hundreds of years ago with the funny hats. Think of the absolute fanaticism they had. Think of how self righteous they were, how judgmental toward others they were, how intolerant of any other worldview they were. Think of their lust for total control over people's lives. Think of their utter lack of a sense of humor. Think of how joyless they were. These are the fanatics who held witch trials and executed people because of the shrieking accusations with no evidence made by some young girls. These are the people who drove a few who dared question their total power out (Roger Williams and Ann Hutchinson) to form Rhode Island. Now compare that to the Woke religion. What's the difference? Well let's see....the Woke religion is utterly lacking in grace. That's about it. Look at where this crap comes from? Its mostly universities and media and so-called intellectuals in that same area. These NeoPuritans are largely the spawn of the original Puritans - certainly culturally if not actually biologically. Now let's look at what most MAGA supporters actually support: - secure the borders - fair trade rather than pure free trade - stop endless wars - energy independence - limit immigration - rein in the 3 letter agencies (many of us want several of them abolished) - rebuild our industrial base - bust up big tech and rein in big Pharma - pass laws that prevent military officers from jumping straight into big fat paydays with defense contractors Most of these are positions liberals advocated up until about 10 years ago. Just go back and look at what Biden, Pelosi, Schumer etc used to advocate. Its a lot of the above. And now they try to claim WE are the extremists??? We are the ones who have fascist/authoritarian tendencies??? Who has weaponized federal law enforcement to go after political opponents? Who has corrupted federal law enforcement to bury investigations into the regime's corruption? Who has engaged in a censorship program with Big Tech to suppress true stories, push the government narrative and ban and censor critics of the regime? Who has a history of weaponizing the IRS to audit political opponents? Who wants to disarm the people as much as they possibly can? Its not difficult to see who the real fascists are.
