I am really enjoying the frothing of the mouths of liberals today on Twitter. They are losing their minds over the Special Master ruling
U.S. District Judge from the Southern District of Florida Judge Aileen M. Cannon ordered that the special master be appointed to "review the seized property, manage assertions of privilege and make recommendations thereon, and evaluate claims for return of property."They have let loose a torrent of outrage:
I expressed no opinion about whether the District Court judge would deny the Special Master request because I knew who she was. However, I now express my opinion that the appellate court will reverse because, no matter who appointed them, they won’t sign on to that drivel.

In the likely event the Department of Justice decides to appeal, I cannot imagine that Judge Cannon’s ruling will be upheld by the 11th Circuit.

The judge didn't have jurisdiction. And Trump doesn't have standing, because the feds took property that was THEIRS, not his.

Cannon uses existence of a small number of personal items found in search (and properly seized pursuant to warrant) to find standing to review ALL docs including vast majority that are STOLEN.

I kept an open mind. I really did. But reading Judge Cannon’s ruling left my jaw on the floor in its absurdity. Unless the federalist society wants to argue that this precedent would only apply to trump, this ruling would demolish future white collar criminal investigations…

Well, those terms are kind of standard when discussing ethics. Usually, they are used, for example, to say something like: “Employees should make every effort to avoid even the appearance of impropriety”. Which would mean you shouldn’t just avoid making an unethical decision, but you should avoid making an decision which is ethical but might appear to be unethical.
Saying you want to “avoid the appearance of impropriety” or “ensure the appearance of integrity” are kind of interchangeable in that context.
It is almost like liberal self hating Jews are almost sorry that the final solution did not go to fruition. (but they hate Christians and average Americans even more)

I agree they are into it for reasons concerning Russia Gate, but what could possibly be the connection with anything to include Russia Gate that would tie into his medical records. That’s my problem. And unless their is a tie in, the FBI cannot obtain and hold those records as it is a HIPPA violation and an illegal search and seizure. You can’t just throw a warrant at someone and get into and remove their person medical files without approved justification of exact documents. This can’t turn into a fishing trip.
Lawmakers and the courts have put in place legal safeguards to ensure that law enforcement officers interfere with individuals’ Fourth Amendment rights only under limited circumstances, and through specific methods. Under the Patriot Act, the FBI can get a warrant to secure your medical records during the course of an investigation to protect against international terrorism. But the warrant has to declare that at the time of entry when the warrant is being served or they have illegally removed personal records that bear nothing on the warrant and are not specified.
And again, I can’t understand how his medical records have anything to do with imminent terrorist activities. But they can be used in a leaked situation trying to damaging his reputation to compromise voters in 2024. Happens often. It is illegal and it falls under prohibited personnel practices.
