On August 25, the 5th Forum on China-Africa Media Cooperation (FOCAC) took place in Beijing. According to an official press release, Xi Jinping and Macky Sall, the Senegalese president and co-chair of FOCAC, sent letters of congratulations to the forum’s members. Huang Kunming, a key member of the Chinese Communist Party’s Political Bureau, read both letters and delivered a keynote speech. As per the press release, Huang emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation and collaborative efforts between China and Africa.
Why is the CCP so interested in Africa? The world’s fastest growing continent, Africa is home to an abundance of natural resources. Besides possessing 65 percent of the world’s arable land, the African continent is home to almost a third of the world's mineral reserves. Africa also boasts 10 percent of the world’s fresh water sources, 40 percent of the world’s gold deposits, 8 percent of the world's natural-gas reserves, and 12 percent of global oil reserves. This is news to many, I’m sure, but not to the Chinese regime.

I lived and worked in Africa and traveled extensively all over that country for over 20 years ending in 2013. The last ten years I noticed that every flight around the interior that sometimes over 50% of the passengers were Chinese....

I totally agree. The United States has no interest in Africa . It never has. China will find that the continent is a mess and that it’s desire to control it is had to do.
The difference is that China does not care about human rights.
Do you really think they care about the people working in the cobalt mines? In the Gold mines?

No, they will treat Africans as disposable slaves. Just like they treat the Muslims in their own country.
They will take the resources and when they are played out, they will move on to use up the resources somewhere else.

The Chinese are like Locusts and Africa is just their next Feeding Ground. They will strip it bare and leave it a polluted desolated mess.
An astute Freeper described the Chinese in Africa as “an irresistible force meets an immovable object” and there is much truth in that. I’ve always conceded that Africa Always Wins, but it will be interesting to see how the Chinese in Africa fare.
The Chinese mafia are ruthless and racist and very much involved in their overseas operations. The CCP-backed companies that are ravaging developing countries can certainly be as well. They burned villagers out of their homes, shot others, while taking over land in Cambodia. It was horrific. In at least one town they locked up and tortured people and forced them to work in scam call centers. They have grown to be hated there.
So I have no illusions Africans will far well under Chinese overlords. They rival the Belgians of old in the Nasty Colonialist department. The Chinese are good at environmental degradation, too, clear cutting rain forests in Southeast Asia and South America, strip mining, polluting rivers, and leaving a lot of ugly in their wake.

Because, in the end, Africa always wins.
We’ve also allowed China to ravage countries in Southeast Asia who love America. And countries in our own hemisphere. State has been staffed to the gills with Clintonites obsessed with Russia-Russia-Russia and woke ideology. They’ve been asleep at the wheel when it comes to Chinese shenanigans.
