Most cops, fearing That they will,lose their jobs, will enforce the unconstitutional law. Only the patriotic cops won’t, and WilL DO,THE RIGHT THING and refuse to enforce the law.
“I’m just doing my job” or “..of course I don’t condone it, but I need my paycheck and my pension”. Then quit, or you do condone it.
The “I’m just doing my job” road starts with cops shutting down an 8-year old’s lemonade stand because she doesn’t have a permit and ends with the prison camp guards herding people into gas chambers.
The romantic notion that LEA's and the military would side with conservatives is just that. A romantic notion.
You are making the assumption that there is such a thing as a GOOD cop. I agree there are. However, stand up a line of 100 of them and YOU pick out the Dirty Ones.
That number will be between ZERO and 100. There is no way to tell until it’s too late.
I prefer to assume ALL are Dirty ALL the time. I start at 100 and work down based on actions not silly words like “back the blue” and other useless platitudes. Actions speak louder than words. As of late, their ACTIONS SUCK!!
Trust has been destroyed. Cops need to FIX their own ranks first.
Many people are far less concerned (if they’ve thought about it all) with doing their job ethically and morally than they are about keeping their job: To hell with traditional, Judeo-Christian American values and patriotism if I might lose my job if I practice these anachronistic principles.
