I had to renew my Global Entry status this June. I was immediately conditionally approved, but required to re-interview.

OK ... I asked for first available appointment at ATL (this was June).

The first available was 13 Sept.

On 25 Aug at 10 PM I got an email my appointment was canceled and I needed to reschedule or lose my re-up.

The NEXT AVAILABLE appointment was APRIL 2023.

Yeah, they screwed it up.

Check other places, especially if you are traveling somewhere. I couldn’t get an appointment at DTW, however they had openings at the Ambassador Bridge to Canada. I once had a renewal appointment at LAX during a 3 hour layover, unfortunately the flight was delayed and I missed it.

So there are appointments available at other than airports.

...for renewal, just go by the office next time you are near the airport. My wife just renewed by popping in, and had NO wait time for confirming her name change. I renewed online with an update even though my original card expired last Feb. Got approved status in two days online. Only need to cough up $25 for new card, which I don’t really need since my passport info is whats used when we reenter to clear customs and my info is updated in the system for PreCheck... good luck, but I wouldn’t wait. (this was in Austin TX)
