Donald Trump – Ron DeSantis 2024: Is It Possible?

Is A Trump-DeSantis Ticket Possible At This Point: Popular Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been rumored to be considering a 2024 presidential run for some time now, but with the genuine possibility of a third Trump campaign lingering, it’s unclear whether DeSantis is taking the idea seriously?

DeSantis is second only to Trump when it comes to smear campaigns from Democrats and the press, making the two men seem like a perfect coupling for some.

With the January 6 investigation still ongoing and the recent FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago, however, the Florida governor has a lot to think about over the coming year or so until primary campaigning really kicks off.

It’s not a maybe there is such a Constitutional issue - 12th Amendment. Trump would have to re-establish his NY State residency (or somewhere else to remove that!) If he did that it likely would leave him vulnerable to harassment from NY State official Rats.

“N E W O R L E A N S, Dec. 7, 2000 — Dick Cheney is a Wyoming resident and therefore would be constitutionally qualified to serve as George W. Bush’s vice president, a federal appeals court ruled...”

“Cheney, a former Wyoming congressman, lived in Dallas while he was chairman of Halliburton Co. until he changed his voting registration to Teton County, Wyo., on July 21 — four days before becoming Bush’s running mate.”

I do not believe Trump will run.

I think it all hinges on how well his hand-picked senate and governor candidates do in those states that he won in 2016 but lost in 2020.

If they mostly or all win, I think he'll run.

If they mostly or all lose, I think he won't.

As it stands now, the only one I think might actually win is, surprisingly enough, Herschel Walker, only after being pulled across the finish line with Brian Kemp's landslide victory over Stacy Abrams.

“Trump isn’t going to chose DeSantis as V.P. If he decides to run
Why? Because DeSantis will decline and that will embarrass Trump.

Are you dumb or just stupid?

Do you think ANY president or anyone running for that office would announce a running mate who hadn’t already said YES?

MAROON!

Author scores with the main point, however, that DeSantis would prefer a clean shot at it without all the controversy surely to come with DjT’s 2nd term.

Furthermore, Trump won't pick someone who overshadows him in competence and ability.

Expect to be thoroughly disappointed by Trump's VP pick.

Since he first set foot in the White House, Trump has shown himself partial to surrounding himself with imbeciles, backstabbers, and Deep State stooges and I haven't seen much evidence that this has changed.

I'd expect he picks a black woman or an low-energy establishment swamp creature.

How about the VA Lt. Gov?

Apparently I’m smarter than you.

There is a vetting process, then there are meetings.

If it’s proposed to DeSantis during the vetting or meeting and declined……….

Are YOU that stupid not to think it won’t leak out to the media???

Perhaps you are.

Have nice day genius.

That’s kind of who you want for a VP.
Not to mention it would drive the left even more insane.
If that is even possible.

They can, but the electors from Florida would not be able to vote for them, which is forfeiting a lot of electoral votes when every single one is needed.

Stop what ? What’s ridiculous ? For the record. I KNOW nothing, it’s opinion.—based on common sense buttressed by the author’s opinion.

If Trump runs and wins……..the second Trump enters the Oval Office he becomes a Lame Duck.

He can’t run again. All the Left and RINOs and China and Russia need to do is wait him out. Stall.

Every President becomes a Lame Duck in their second year of their second term.

Trump will walk into to that status right away.
He will have zero clout to with China, and remember, there will be more House and Senate elections too during the Presidential campaign.

“The inhabitant clause of the Twelfth Amendment also suggests strongly that the president and vice president should not be from the same state. Although the provision does not directly disqualify a vice president who is from the same state as the president, the provision disqualifies the electors from that state from voting for both offices.”

Yes. Or another state. IIRC, to get the FL state EVs, both can’t be from the same state.

How about the VA Lt. Gov?

I've actually considered her. And Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears would be a pick I WOUDN'T be disappointed with.

She's the real deal and has fire in her belly.

And most importantly, she won a statewide election in a state that any Republican presidential candidate would love to reclaim for the prize.

Honestly, I'd expect to see her name at the top of the potential VP list no matter who wins the GOP primary.

Do not worry Trump would come to office this next time unprepared:

You’ve heard of “radical plans for his next term” , but for those who have not, check the lengthy and detailed report from Axios last month. It’s from Jonathon Swan who doesn’t often make stuff up.

Massive vetting of hundreds of vetters —occurring now—seeking tens of thousands employees to fill administration jobs to replace thousands who will quit or be fired via “schedule F.”

Yes, I've heard this all before.

"Don't worry! Trump's second term, he's gonna do all the swamp-draining that he said he was going to do back in 2016 and never did!"

I predict and foresee 4 years of Trump followed by 8 for DeSantis. China will have collapsed by that point. Some say they’re almost there now.

With Trump / DeSantis a concensus 1/2 for the next decade those waiting out a lame duck will be waiting in the wilderness for a good long while.
