I buy my cars in NH and then drive them to MA and pay taxes and registration fees. No special reason, I just do that. If MA makes gas cars illegal to buy, my life will not change. This will be true in other areas as well.

Their next logical step would be to make it illegal to register a gas car in the state. That sounds crazy. But they are crazy.

Perhaps your life won’t change, what I fear is the more blue states that implement these crazy policies, the car companies will be forced to make more and more EVs, at some point it will become unprofitable for them to make traditional cars or it will make them so expensive basically forcing everyone everywhere to jump on the EV bandwagon.

I am with you, I plan on holding for as long as possible hopefully forever until I assume room temperature.

Just as an aside but California has a law where if you buy a vehicle with the intent of driving it in that state, you have to pay full taxes on it in California. IIRC you had to drive it for a year in other states before bringing it to Ca and avoid the tax.

You really think they’re going to let gas stations stay open or are you going to homebrew your own gasoline?
