Sorry for the vanity here, and I know this is a minor issue that can be dealt with, but I'm curious if other FReepers are encountering the same issue. Following the raid on Trump's personal home I sent him, and a number of other Trump candidates, a political contribution. And yes, I also contributed to FR, as I do every quarter.
But holy cow. Since making those contributions I am now getting an email from Trump, or someone associated with his campaign, about every twenty or thirty minutes. I am not exaggerating. About three to four emails every single waking hour and then some overnight. It's absolutely crazy.
I am aware that deep within the emails are an obscure location to unsubscribe, and I have done that, but the email avalanche keeps coming. And this is not to mention that now my phone is repeatedly dinging alerting me to a new text message.
And these text messages? From Trump and just about every other candidate for office. To me text messages are for people I personally know which require my prompt attention, not for unknown candidates across the country who need me to chip in $5 to their campaign.
IMO, this has gotten way out of hand.
If you are on Donald’s email or text service they are very aggressive for donations. Can’t say as I blame them since the GOP for a long time was trying to fundraise off his image without his permission.
I sure did. I unsubscribed from every email. Then, any text messages I received (they came from different phone numbers) I replied “Stop” and they eventually ended. It was really over the top and can certainly turn people off, like it did me.

I am also getting hundreds of emails and text messages from Trump.
Yes, just keep marking all of these emails and texts as SPAM. It will take about a month but they will finally subside. And as far as the phone calls, don’t answer them.

in the future, use a throw-away email address for this sort of thing ...

It’s not only annoying, it’s insulting as well. Many of the emails claim to be Trump, Newt Gingrich or other Conservative figures personally reaching out to me. Others claim that my donation will be somehow matched if I make it in the next fifteen seconds or something. Who would believe any of that crap?
Yep, I delete. And I am trying to shut it down, but man, as much as I support Trump, this is over the top.

Avoid anything with a WinRed connection. As bad as an ambulance chasing lawyer, Morgan&Morgan, and a timeshare debt collector rolled into one.

Every time I am on a conservative site such a Bannon or GETTR I get most of my donation texts. Since the raid fiasco I donated twice. I was not going to donate until he announced his candidacy but I wanted to show my support. I honestly have not seen an increase since I donated .I just delete them when they come in, I feel he is there for us, I will be there for him. I just gave a small amount so far, less than 50 bucks. To show I stand with him.
It's WinRed, money goes to the stupid GOP.
Each time I donate it gets me back on the list. I just go to the bottom and unsubscribe.
In my opinion, this strategy is backfiring on them. I completely stop giving as a result of them and then I feel like sending something against Murkowski or when Cheney says something so stupid I feel compelled to send Haggerman something and BAM! They start all over again. It’s pretty disgusting. I wish candidate funding sites could be found that are not “ WinRed “ associated.

I get about 6-10 per day. Plus a lot of other crap.
Think about it. It’s worth it.
