BREAKING: Trump describes process of how he declassified documents found at Mar-a-Lago

Former president's office says there was standing order that classified memos automatically declassified if moved to residence.

nald Trump's office told Just the News on Friday that the classified materials the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate were declassified under a "standing order" while he was president that allowed him to take sensitive materials to the White House residence at night to keep working.

The official statement is likely to become the focus of the president's legal defense as the FBI and Biden Justice Department investigate whether he stole records covered under the Presidential Records Act or mishandled classified materials under the Espionage Act, allegations included in a search warrant released by a federal court in Florida on Friday.

The president's defense is rooted in the legal principal that the president and vice president are the ultimate declassifying authority of the U.S. government and through executive orders most recently issued in 2003 by George W. Bush and Barack Obama in 2009 that specifically exempt the president and vice president from having to follow the stringent declassification procedures every other federal agency and official must follow.

Trump has maintained for weeks that any documents still containing classified markings in his possession after he left office were previously declassified. On Friday night, the statement issued to Just the News explained exactly how that declassification occurred in his mind.

If it is not declassified, the FBI lacks the clearance to obtain it

I remember laughing at Russia, Russia, Russia and the Ukrainian corruption “impeachment” too. The thing is, the DC goons are Trump terminators. They don’t stop. If they were able to shred the constitution and rid this country of representative democracy in the process of illegally deposing the Trump Administration, I am very concerned now for citizen Trump. Trump is as guilt free in this as he has been to the previous six years of bunk slung at him. Innocent or not, with no constitutional protection Trump is liable to be convicted on whatever charges they make up.

Oh, who gives a damn.

This isnt about whether he adhered to the usual declassification procedure.

That kind of nitpicking is not the basis for a raid on the President’s house.

This is all just BS to get people spun up amd fixated on this “issue”.

Once again, a Rat hoax designed to create a whirlwind.

They want to destroy Trump by every means possible.

He challenged the America Last uniparty and the America Last uniparty wants to prevent that from ever happening again.

Can the next president just declare them reclassified? I can’t find an answer.

Is there any information that is not able to be declassified? I don’t know but would think there is plenty of information that nobody should possess.

It’s not that it’s hard to grasp, it just makes things hard to prove. If there isn’t something indicating that something is declassified, like amending the markings, then what’s to stop Biden from giving everything to China and Iran and saying, if caught, “Oh, I declassified that.”

It’s like when President Trump said that Sidney Powell was now special counsel, but she didn’t get special counsel access because there was no action other than the president saying it in a meeting. Powell thought she was, but no one else did.

They've repeatedly went after Trump for about 6 years now, 24/7 around the clock, but this time they're going to get him...lol. Bet I've heard that 5,000 time...Trump is cooked this time!☺

Not if the FBI agent has top secret clearance and viewed documents in line of court order.

No need for that. If the president declares something declassified, it is declassified.

Yeah, whoever replaced Peter Stroksit.

I’m sure the replacement thought people in Walmart stunk, too.

I think a president can do that. The intent would be severely scrutinized.

If it is to destroy an ex-president from saving the USA from outright socialism.......not sure it would fly much.

They are welcome to bring it to court.

Is there any information that is not able to be declassified?

Not by the President. He is the ultimate authority.

The corrupt DOJ’s intent is to tie Trump up in court during 2023 and 2024 to destroy his chance of running by tainting him with a treason charge. If that doesn’t work, I have no doubt the corrupt FBI will then assassinate him.

I’m sure he was Strzok like, the FBI apparently is filled with ‘that type.’

That type being a complete psychopath.

The biggest risk I could see for Trump is if he is charged with something, the trial will be in DC, which means that the Justice Department Prosecutor could walk in drunk, pick his nose and make no case whatsoever, and the far-left DC jury will still vote to convict on all charges.
